Now..... Amber... doll, I am very worried about you. You've been going through a lot lately with your mom and job and stress will hit you, but I've never heard it hit like that. I don't see how your insurance could cancel you as this is not a condition that you have had regularly pre-employment/insurance wise. Do keep investigating what has caused this. You could do something to hurt yourself trying to escape a hallucination like this.
Cyclin -- so glad to see you and congratz to you all on your new home! A new place is so exciting, getting to place the furniture and decorate it just the way you like. So happy for you!
And me? Still plugging away at cleaning the pool deck and outdoors before I tackle the inside of the house. Work, work, work! Payback for slacking is hell.

Well she's still got 2 sisters and a brother available!
Well, I think I've got her pretty well kitted out for the moment. I went to town and finally found an exercise pen for her (piece of advice: ignore what the websites tell you re: items being in stock or not. The Walmart site assured me the store had them in stock. They lied. Conversely, the Tractor Supply site said they were out of stock, but I went in on a wild hair and lo and behold they had them!). I got her some plushies and some meatbones and a pink leash to match her collar. It's a bit strange: she has no idea what to do with the toys.
DW- No, no pills that could have caused it.
De- I think I sleep ok but I dont know. Lots of nightmares.
Brew- Im thinking of taking some vaca time week after next. Just me, my torch and some loud music for a week.
Bert- I wish I could convince him to take off work! If I can't get him into it this summer, I might just come by myself! At least thats what Im going to tell him. LOL
Sun- I really think Im going to be ok. My sister is an LPC and she says she wants me to take a vacation, like a real vacation where I dont answer work emails, or go take care of mom and get out of this crap hole town for at least a day, although she would prefer I was gone for a week. She says my condition presents to people who dont really know me as something else, but really it comes down to just stress. She says I react to it differently because I have a bad case of PTSD and all of the anxiety and depression that goes along with it amplifies the stress. I've talked it over with my boss and he wants me to take whatever time I need. Im considering maybe more than a week and going on short term disability. I dont know if Im going to call the psychologist back or not. Of coarse, thats probably my paranoia talking and I really should...

Damn! I still need to get some dog shampoo and some people pads. Speaking of which.... Last night we were talking about puppy pads/people pads. My nephews asked what people pads were and we explained you put them on the bed. They both got this wide-eyed look on their faces and asked Why? I think their minds were in the gutter. We laughed for a while before finally explaining about (mostly older) people and incontinence. The boys got really embarrassed and we starting laughing again.
Reid - also maybe talk to a groomer about "stripping" her .. I think Schnauzers have "terrier hair", and if you learn to hand strip, and start early, you and the dog will love it.

Blu, if I can find a good groomer I will. I'm kinda partial to the puppy cut though, where you shave the back and leave the rest to grow out.

Yeah, I love that look also, classic Schnauzer.
I had a friend that had Scotties, and she did them by hand to look like that also. The dogs loved it, they would lay in her lap and she would just pluck hairs out. LOL I guess when the hair is ready to come out, you just lightly pull and they just come out?
I never had a terrier, and never tried it, but she said it doesn't hurt them, they seemed to like it, and she would do it at night while watching the news.

Morning Tipsters, Up early today, -3 degree last night. Have Doctors appointments today plus Ambers groomer is coming to wash and clip her.
For 17 years I washed and clipped her but since I have been sick I found a lovely groomer who now does her. She is getting so old and frail but still loves all the fuss.
You can buy great strippers for your dog these days Reidus, and well worth getting her used to it while she is young.

Well it's time for the winter PJ'S to come out for Porsche. They were all made in USA, so you should be able to get some great ones for your new baby Reidus.

Speaking of which, Tara found Mom's old clippers and we gave Sophie her first grooming today. Up to now she's been the sweetest, most biddable darling imaginable. Get some clippers to her and that flies out the window, lol. She hated every second of it. I think she looks pretty great now. And interestingly, since she's been groomed, she seems to be a lot more playful than before.
