Evening Tipsters, Pouring rain today so it was snuggled up with my rug and reading all day. Blu I agree about the puckering that's why I have always liked the flat mouth tips. I don't seem to pucker so much.

Yes, it's 5 in the morning and I"m on my second cup of coffee. My damn puppy got me up at 4:00 AM!!!!!
Actually, it's not so bad; I had to be up early anyway, as the guy who's gonna blow insulation into my attic is coming between 7 and 8 this morning anyway.

Anyone have experience with a workplace forcing Vapers to use the smoking area? I'm looking for a diplomatic approach to changing this awful policy.

Yes Bert when I was with William Sonoma Inc they made vapers use the smoking area to vape. But that is out side so wasn't so bad.

I am at my second job since I started vaping, and both have forced me to the smoking area. So far, no one has hassled me about vaping elsewhere, but the official party line is they are the same as smoking. Both are FDA regulated medical device manufacturers. You would think in this environment science would win, but HR Policies are still in the dark ages.

luckily not i bert. working at a public elementary school we dont allow smoking on school grounds so when i did smoke and people were around we had to get in our cars and leave for smoke breaks. when people werent around like at night we just went out on the back dock or to our vehicles. after i quit my principal was very pleased and did a small bit of research i assume into ecigs and gave me the go ahead to use mine in our breakroom at any time or anywhere using my digression after people were gone. he is just pleased now that i dont burn up my 15-20 minute breaks off property and i dont smell like an ash tray. i never had any clue just how bad i smelled as a smoker all the time.
Sorry Bert, I was lucky, vaping in the office was my bosses idea! Pretty awesome since he's a non smoker lol

Well this has been a miserable day. I'm having insulation blown into my attic. They arrived at 8:00 this morning and I found out I had to turn off my a/c. They left at 2:30 and I had to wait until 3:30 before I could turn it back on. My house was 87 degrees by then! Worse, I couldn't leave because my front door had to be open for them to run the hose through! I put Samantha and Sophie in my bedroom (the coolest room in the house) and it was still miserable!

Yes. Within a month or two of my starting vaping (and after a co-worker pushed the issue by insisting he could vape on the shop floor, he no longer vapes since they changed the policy) the Timken company specifically included e-cigs into their smoking policy in the employee handbook. Vaping is only permitted in the designated smoking areas, even if you're outside you can't vape outside of those proscribed locations
I agree it's a horrible policy, forcibly exposing vapers to second hand smoke, though I do agree that it shouldn't be allowed on the shop floor for many other legitimate reasons, though not the ones that caused the policy to be implemented as it stands now
