Reid - yep, sounds like you cartos are getting too bent up.
I still use a saddle-valve thing from ACE. Works the best for me and I can sharpen it easily. (sharp = no bent carto)
I got a Kir Fanis punch, a round kind of thing, and don't like it much, too hard to turn.

(I thought the blow-in-the-fill-hole part would help with your dry hits) LOLOL

Blu, I've got a line-tap valve off of amazon that works as well. The problem is that the holes are tiny; Like I said, my normal 2-hole punch method d/n work with my 50/50 juice. The other problem is I'm low on carto's; I've got an order coming from CCV. As soon as they get here, I'm going try the 3-hole punch with my line-tap valve.

Good Day TrippyKinz :)

1PRqNnA.jpg

It's a Saturday & a Trippy Sale Day! Me want Cookie!!
Good Luck to all shoppers :D

im feeling bad now delilia... perhaps its time for the new inner oring switch? extra bad feeling that i wasnt having any problems of recent. in the past i had problems here and there but it was usually with a couple cartos or even a whole pack.... or figured i just punched too deep. if you continue to not be happy with it you know ill do anything to make you happy.

Please don't feel bad my dear friend  -- I'm sure it's all user error   I started using it just like my lil mama tank -- on the little mama I remove the TrippyTip, place the carto refill tool on the cartomizer, slide up the lil mama tube, and I'm able to refill the tube with my needle bottle. So when I got the Prive I tried to do the same thing - (and without lubing the end caps). I've done a bit of reading and it seems like the Prive creates some kind of pressure within the tube and if not filled slowly and carefully can cause juice spillage and flooded cartomizers  I also read that where the needle is inserted needs some space and I think my bottle needle fits that little opening exactly so maybe I need a smaller needle  I think I need to get the hang of it :) Right now my biggest issue will be how to remove the cartomizer since I didn't lube it!

Delilah - send me your address, I just got these little things you put in your carto that make it SO easy to push them into the tanks.
I got them free with some tanks I bought, and he sent me like 7 or them. :toast:

It helps keep the cartos from chewing up the o-rings.

{{{{{{{{Blu}}}}}}}} If it works better than these:

I'd love it!!! Thank you so much Blu

Mornin all, hope your weekend's off to a great start!
Sooner, glad to hear you're home safely and in time for the sale. :D

Delilah, I'm having similar issues with my Prive tank: not the leaking issue, I haven't gotten that far yet. I can't get my cartos into the damn thing when I use my carto punch from Phiniac, and when I used my one off of Amazon, it wouldn't draw the juice in enough, leaving my with dry hits. I'm going to try again this weekend, using 3 holes and see if that works. And yes, I have the carto tool from Phiniac as well as a Slap Yo Mama.

{{{{Reidus}}} Do you have this carto punch:

gaGFj56.jpg

That's what I use! I have some prepunched cartos - which I have been making the opening a little larger with my carto punch! I'm going to stop doing that!

When you can get that cartomizer out please come back with tips! ;)

Morning Tripsters ... how goes it?

Here Delilah and Reid ... "Kir Fanis Tanks 101". :D

- Put carto in, punch hole close to the bottom, but not so low you can't see 100% of hole (distortions in tank when punching = leaks)

- fill 90% full, if too full, will cause like a "vapor lock" and you will get dry hits.
If you get dry hits, remove fill screw and place mouth over fill hole, and push/blow juice into carto (just a bit). Replace screw before vaping. Once juice level goes down a teeny, it will feed better, it needs some air in the tank.

- If juice level gets real low, below 20%, carto can over feed causing gurgling/leaking. Think of tank as your car, and don't go below 20%. LOL
If you get gurgling, take tank off mod, take off drip tip, tip tank upside down so air bubble is over punch hole. Place small amount of wadded up TP in tip end of carto and blow from mod end. Air hole must be over punch hole or you just blow out more juice. Keeping tank in position, put mod back on, and vape a little with air bubble over punch hole, helps dry out your carto a bit. Then go back to vaping normal.

** all of this should be done with fill screw IN ... only time you take screw out is to fill tank. Don't fill your carto from the top, or vape with it out. Juice WILL leak.
The Kir Tanks are the best I have used so far, and just a few tricks overcome a lot of problems without having to waste another carto.

You are the WO-MAN! Thank you Blu!

Coralie, it's just under 11 hours from now.

BTW, what's the difference between a pillar and a taper?

Reidus, here's Bert's Trippy Reference Chart

A quick reference for shapes of tips as per Bert

Delilah, I will send one and you can try it .... it seems the easiest to me.
The KF Tanks are TIGHT, and the carto slides in really easy with this little thing.
Not sure what makes it different, but it seems to be working great.

I can't thank you enough Blu!

delilia, i the meantime you can take that little black tool and put it in the carto where tip goese and turn it upside down on the counter top... hold bottom can and push it on through

I'll give that a try - thanks Mike

I usually remove cartos from the bottom up -- have I been doing it wrong all along?

not sure if there is really a right or wrong way, thats just easiest to me when they are tight

Worked like a charm with the black tank tool, some elbow grease, and the countertop!

I lubed the heck out of the inner caps this time, and the carto!!! 99 percent went through ok, the last lil bit to make the carto flush with the tank needed additional elbow grease though! Filled it without using the needle hole this time... so far so good

I've given up narrowing it down. I know some of the ones I like are variations on a color pattern, so if I get one in that color scheme I'll be happy. So, I guess I'll use my normal choosing method. The first ones that pop up on my screen that are on my list. :D

I tried to get the hubby to help me narrow my list, but he and I definitely do not share the same tastes in trippy tips.

Oooh, my belly is getting the Xmas feeling!

Need to get showered and ready to leave town after the sale, so I better start now so I'm not leaving Greensboro at 10pm!

These are some of my favs - and BERT, if you can, let me know if they're as small as I think they are, or which is the smallest. :)

Bert, I must say some of my fav hourglass shapes are either by you or Freddy!
