I went out yesterday at noon and at 11pm and it was awful both times. So not worth going outside. I'm dreading work tomorrow, there is no air conditioning there. we're gonna bake in that building. hopefully we can make it a short day.

I saw a thing on the news where Death Valley was 129 ... and they said that was 1 degree away from being the all time record for the hottest place .... ever?
I would have thought somewhere would have been over 130. That doesn't sound right to me.
I suppose by the volcano in Hawaii doesn't count. LOLOL

My dobe boo boo is exactly the same! He has to have a dog bed or a fluffy blanket or he cries constantly because there's no where to lay. Lol he's 130lbs so too big to be in bed anymore, but back when I let him he did the same thing. Lay his back up against me and pushed all night until he pushed me right out of the bed. Loves to be under the covers too! Lol
Good morning. Taking some vacation time today, this week. Just wanting to get some projects done around the house. Not too hot in New England right now, but Muggy! It's rained almost every day here. Good mosquito weather. Too bad our bats are all gone.....
130lbs! That's big! Dave is only about 65 pounds. Same with Darla. When I had my beautiful German Shepherd, Ebony, they didn't sleep in the bed. Ebony was a big girl, 90 pounds. When she died, I started to let Dave sleep in the bed, as much to comfort me as him. In the morning, Darla needs to got out right away, but Dave will stay in bed as long as he can. He's a character, that's for sure.

Yeah, he's huge. Not fat at all, very lean. About the size of a great dane. I found out when he was 4 or 5 that he has hypothyroidism and he had to start a synthetic thyroid supplement. I wonder sometimes if that disease is why he got so big? You always hear about people that grow too fast because of thyroid issues.
I don't know....I would think hypo would slow growth down. out resident doc would know, but I don't think she checks in anymore. glad he's ok though, I remember your saying he wasn't well. mine is slowing down. he's about 11 years old. he sleeps a lot.
Still hot!! so hot in this big metal building with no a/c. Boss was nice, it's supposed to be worse tomorrow so he says we all work from home tuesday. Our weather report has two alerts this week. Fire Weather Watch and of course Heat Advisory. I love how fire is now weather LOL

vegas has set a record for consecutive heat days been 120+ for the last 3 days. Thank god I got a good bus for the summer and that all the events this weekend were inside lol.

LOL it was 104 when I wrote that, 106 forcasted for tomorrow, 101 thursday, high 90's friday to monday then back above 100 for the foreseeable future.
