Haha it is dark when I get there Bert have to bring this kid to Vegas to go to school.
This morning I got a visit from the police. They said my dad was dead. I went to his house but they won't let me in because its a crime scene. I believe he may have shot himself in his backyard. His friends won't talk to me because they think it was my fault. Nothing has ever hurt quite this deep in any day I have walked this earth.

I can only imagine how terrible it is to receive a police visit of that kind. I'm so sorry Amber. I share in your sorrow and wish I could give his friends a piece of my mind! This is no time for that!

Good morning. Lovin all the foodies here. Most of my recipe bookmarks come from this thread. The problem is, when you live alone, you tend not to cook so much. So I tend to collect recipes only
I know this issue
Half the recipe when possible, and invest in some decent freezer storage containers. Cuts down on cooking and you always have something in the freezer that just needs to be thawed/reheated.

For some happier news. It turns out that the Greensboro Animal Shelter is overflowing. They have like 700 dogs, it's really kind of sad because they are all crammed into cages 2 or 3 thick. However, because of this they were offering half off the regular adoption fee. I went in to check out what they had and came home with this.
Meet Jake:
He is two. I have no idea what kind of dog he is, he kind of looks like a corgi mix. He is adorable and loving and is already getting along with Sally.

Aww, thanks, but I think he saved me a little. My heart was so broken from Gandalf and now I have another place to put all that love. Right now I have Jake sleeping on my feet and Sally sleeping beside me. The world feels good right now.
