For those interested, I was successfully able to purchase a Gold Rush Kit from VapingMall (I think I got really lucky and came across it the day they listed them as available) and I received it about 4 days ago. It cost me $52 with free shipping and it seems as if VapingMall keeps them in their direct inventory because the mod shipped from either NC or SC and I received it in WA State about 4 days later. If you're interested in one, I would definitely hold out until they get more in-stock, rather than buying them at the ridiculous $70+ price point madvapes wants.

$52 honestly isn't a bad price at all for this setup when you consider it's more capable than the Mini Volt and the Mini Volt full setup sells for around the same price (Mod + Vengeance tank)

The mod has so far actually blown my expectations out of the water. I haven't had any issues what-so-ever with the mod. I took it out of the box, primed my coil, filled up the tank, put the tank on the device, set the device to wattage mode and boom, functioned without issue.

I've been using the mod with the 49er tank and 0.5ohm Kanthal coil as well as a Derringer Clone with a 0.4ohm build on it and both work great. The mod has one of the best coil detection systems I have ever seen. Whenever you screw in a new atomizer the device immediately asks if it's a new coil or old coil and doesn't allow you to proceed without selecting an option. Build quality is better than expected. No odd defects, scuffs or even button rattle. The battery life is also a lot better than I had expected. Oh and the menu navigation on this device is actually superb. It's extremely easy to switch between wattage, TC Ni and TC Ti. It's also super easy to set the sleep time or turn the sleep function off completely. I'd love to see these guys make some full-sized, higher wattage mods with whatever chip and menu system their using because it's actually very good.

The 49er tank has also exceeded my expectations. I haven't messed around with the tank that much, but that's part of the beauty...it just works and it works well! The top fill design on this tank is simple...but it has some of the largest fill ports I have ever seen on a top fill tank. You could fit any dripper or bottle tip in the fill ports and fill it up. You could almost fill a turkey baster with ejuice and fit it in the fill ports. I'm getting great flavor from the 0.5 Kanthal coil in the tank and the coil heads are not leaking. Wick holes on the coils are pretty huge as are the juice control ports within the tank, so even when chain vaping back to back I haven't gotten any dry hits. I think I like this 49er tank more than I like the Kanger Subtank Mini and that's saying something.

I've only had it for four days, so it's not yet possible to tell if it has any sort of long-term issues, but at this point I am fairly confident is saying that the device and tank are worth buying.

The only issue I can think of off-hand is that I cannot find a source for replacement coils for the 49er tank. I'm also unsure if there's any other manufacturers coils you can use within the tank, so that may prove to be an issue pretty soon.
glad you like the kit. what was your main reason for buying it? i'd love one but, my main reason is because of the tiny, stealthy size. i already have a slew of mods and tanks. have you noticed in the menu if they are coming shipped with the SS TC update? artery vapor did say a firmware update would be in the near future for TC with SS. one more question. hows the battery life vaping at your average wattage?

I bought it because I was interested in the COV Volt Mini, but I didn't like the charge port placement or the screen placement. This mod in my opinion seems like it was better thought out and has more features.

nice def. i noticed it says $15 initially then when i click on add to cart, it takes me to an alibaba site where i have to 'contact supplier' first. is this what you did, or are planning to do? i'm guessing the $35 is including S&H.

Looks like www.vaperoyalty.com has them for sale now. They want $71 for the kit. Vapingmall still has the best price so far.
Current best price, unless you have a wholesale account for the other sites selling them at 50$

Contacted the only suppliers on alibahaha on Thursday and still haven't heard back. Unless anyone is willing to wait for the OEM site to start running, I'm going to the royalty. The last few months have ben giant waiting games with alot of elements in my daily life, I'm really frustrated with waiting, even if it is a small wait

i feel ya def. i will own the nugget as well. i just can't really justify spending $50 - $70 on a mod right now. money is tight. but i'll get one soon. when you get it, post mad pics of it and what your thoughts are on it.

Definitely, lol
Just like the mini volt, Il probably end up experiencing the first round of bug/glitches to help others understand the device.

Despite the smaller mah rating of the nugget, I may prefer it over the volt due to the flat/sealed top. Find out by the end of the week.

It looks like a sweet piece of gear, but I can't get over the fixed battery. That's the reason I don't have a mini volt.
There was a discussion about that in this vape shop I went into in chicago, the clerk was suprized when I pulled mine out. He said the battery in the mini volt is the same dimensions of an 18350, and when he can figure out the chip board hel know how many amps the board pulls. They were talking about modding the bottom plate and going to "ghettofy a sled" for it so they can make it battery swappable. The funniest part was no one in the room seen the mini volt in person til I walked into the shop ;). if someone or COV makes a revision with a removable battery, I can see in the near future Il finaly have a reason to switch to replaceable cell mods. :)

These are coming...
Vapor J was talking about them yesterday, and was told, I think by a vendor, importer, or maker that they were expected to be in the range of $30-$35, maybe $40-$45 for the kit. Seems more reasonable - and MiniVolt competitive.
I want the Minivolt, but WITH the little tiny tank - or this Artery tank, to put on a MiniVolt, lol.
ANyone seen the Minivolt "kit" with a tank lately?

And there it is. I just don't trust 'em, and I want the removable cell. Another thing: strikes me as unlikely they've to a 1000 mAh 18350 in it that is capable of 50 watts without pulsing the fire circuit. The best 350 I know of is the AW 800 mAh part, and it's 12 amps. At 3.5 V (discharge voltage, the mod should kick it out soon) 50 watts is over 15 Amps...

If I start seeing this price tag, I might PIF

I'm no electronic genius, but with the board using capacitors to "amp up" power output, I feel like it's not pulling max amps from the battery. I could be wrong.

I'm no electronic genius either, but I am pretty sure the First Law of Thermodynamics applies to vape mods. All of the power must come from the batteries somehow as there is no other place to get it and it can't be created out of thin air. It is theoretically possible to draw energy from batteries at a low rate, store it in capacitors and release it through a vape coil, yes. But you're not going to manage that in practice over the duration of a vape draw without it being a lot bigger than that little bitty machine. Such a capacitor bank would be (at least) the size of a 3-battery C or D cell flashlight, and the power it would consume would drain an 18350 in very short order. I find it easier to believe a small capacity 2S or 3S LiPo pack. Or it might be 2 x 18350-- the mod is big enough, a 50 watt board is tiny, hardly bigger than the switch footprint-- wired in parallel. A pair of 8 or 10 amp, 500mAh 18350s would get the job done nicely, and would total the 1000 mAh they advertise. Actually, thinking about it, it could be wired in series, too. I was talking to an actual EE about an idea for a "car mod" where you'd have a vape wand containing capacitors that rested in a charging cradle in the cup holder. Pick it up, vape it, then put it back in the cradle to charge again. I was told capacitors for that would be the diameter of my thumb and 3-5 inches long.
