It seems to me that the harder ASH and other organizations and agencies push against e-cigs the more and more people switch to using them. Personally I think we should start thanking them. The more they whine about our beloved hobby the more hobbyists join us.

Well yeah, more media coverage, more awareness of existences, more people REBELLING AGAINST THE MAN!

I don't know. They've pretty much gotten their way with smoking--peddling both fact and fiction.

I say get a bunch of e-cig users with ph-d's (and I know theres plenty out there) to do extensive testing and finally prove to these 'bleepity bleep bleeps' that e-cigs are perfectly safe. And even if not PERFECTLY safe, then 99.999 times safer than regular cigs. Its amazing how many closed-minded, un-educated, down right idiots are out there making the rules.

My brother works in nuclear medicine in a big hospital. He and his friends hit the bathroom or go iinto empty exam rooms to take a few vape hits and head back to work. I would much rather have a level headed staff person working on me then one that hasn't had any nicotine for 8 or 9 hours and is jonezing bad. It is very unfortunate that short sighted people like the ASH group have their way with regulations and laws.

If you want to see what it's like to go against him,, watch this.

Smokers Need Not Apply? - Video - FoxNews.com

Audry blew it right out of the gate, after the $12,000 figure ....... threw out; She should have switch up the debate and put him on the ropes with the slippery slope civil rights argument. A fine comeback would have been the employer cost of obesity, diabetes and the like and asked if he'd equally support a ban in that direction as well.

They investigate, but it usually involves one of the interns reading up on it on wikipeida or TMZ, then relaying the info.

Or simply receiving the press release from some company or organization (like the FDA, for example), and running another entity's advertisement as news. Hey, it's already typed up, in the right format, and everything -- just toss it in the layout and go!

You know how every now and then you come across something (or someone) so egregiously disgusting, so effed up in the head, so completely putrid, that you have no words to describe the kind of bile that churns inside your stomach?

Yeah, that.

This...

Also...why oh why is freedom of expression via arson illegal :(

Talk about blowing smoke up someones ash!!

I can't take being around Cigarette smoke at all. I been this way since I was young. My Mom and Dad both smoked all their lives. They are divorced and my mom moved in with me and and wife a few months ago. The doctor has been trying to get her to quit for years but told her she had to quit a about 6 months ago. When I showed her videos of e-cigs she wanted one and about 3 weeks ago she started vaping and has not had a cigarette since. She vapes in the house right next to me. Has been blowing the vapor very close to me as she learned to use it with me reading and watching videos to help her. I have not had any problems from smell or vapor. The vapor dissipates very quick. There is no smell or anything in the house. I call Bull....!

It's really scary how little these people making these decisions for others know about e-cigs.

ASH should be promoting e-cigs, but these idiots are clueless. I wonder if they know that fog machines on stages in schools, colleges and everywhere else have been using propylene glycol for years along with alot of other chemicals for there smoke effects. You can wiki fog machines and even see they have been running test on these vapers for many years.
You are one of the people who should be organizing non-smokers to protest against the ban because as a non-smoker you know first hand the benefits to the e-cigarette . Thanks so much for your post . Please consider helping in the fight to keep e-cigarettes in the public market.

Sent Ash this email. Thought you all would like to see it.

I would really like to know where it ends. Are you going to ban salt? How about Fat people, I mean they aren't healthy either, lets keep them from getting a job too! You are a JOKE! Oh and by the way, thanks for trying to ban electronic cigarettes since they are the only product that has ever been over 70% successful in helping people get off the Cigarettes that are PROVEN to kill you. You have no proof that electronic cigarettes have ANY long term negative effects on anyone and yet you would like to condemn all smokers to DEATH to refuse them this live saving device. Nice work IDIOTS!

When asked where I heard about them I put "1-800-DUMBA$$" HAHA

I guess they better start removing children's cosmetic products.Any of you that are parents look at toothpaste, shampoo, etc. that you use for your kids.Alot of them have glycerin and or propylene glycol in them. So, it's safe for my kid to ingest it but not for me to vape it?

/middle finger to ASH and the FDA

I read this article this morning...what a load. Talk about propaganda, it makes it seems as if the decision was a direct result of ASH's email. Reading through the entire article, there are many mistruths and twisted facts. I'm a little scared by ASH's agenda...and I am definitely a proponent of non-smoking.

"There may also be a perception that these products are a safe and effective means to quit smoking conventional forms of tobacco. However, FDA is not aware of any scientific data to support those perceptions."

I'm new to this all, admittedly, but I'm trying to learn. Isn't it true that there has been little to no research done on this subject - by the FDA? It boggles my mind that so many (and I mean, it seems the majority) of vapers on ECF have either reduced or ceased analog use altogether.

I'm going to keep searching the forum for more info, for my own education...any handy links you folks might be able to suggest would be great.
