Sure, lets do it. ASH.ORG is encouraging people to go to the FDA website to enter their comments on the tobacco bill and forward a copy ro ASH.ORG. And I obliged Banzhaf.

" Document ID: FDA-2009-N-0294-0511

Your "ban" on flavored cigarettes is an abysmal failure and your attempt to ban an obvious safer alternative called the Electronic Cigarette, by releasing a sloppy, half done report on cartridges tested by the two distributors who just happen to be the ones distributed by the two suing you, simply to scare the public, is just downright wrong. Releasing a report that was not as a full, unbiased test, but a sloppy one already being condemned.. These tests are already being disputed by physicians and medical groups all over the country and the general public is not buying it.

First off, banning flavored cigarettes, the probable reason this flavored-cigarette ban was allowed by the tobacco comapnies as that is constitutes about 0.1% of the entire cigarette market. Kids are simply not smoking flavored cigarettes in general. Menthol was allowed because it has a huge market share.

It has been studied and proven that "kids" start smoking using non flavored cigarettes and the cigarettes of choice for todays youth is Marlboro, Camel, and Newports. And who makes these brands? You guessed it, Philip Morris, proud sponsors of this "Marlboro Monopoly Protection Act" bill, a bill that a Congress full of suckers voted on.

And now, Electronic Cigarettes are on the chopping block. Why not do this, test the electronic cigarette and compare the results to that of a real cigarette, and not some nicotine inhaler. I'm sure that your results will prove beyond all doubt that the electronic cigarette is far safer than a real one. But it really boils down to Big Pharma, who has you in their pockets, who stand to lose a lot of money because more and more smokers switch to the e-cigarette instead of the non effective patches and gums, or worst yet, Chantix that has been known to make people commit suicide.

This bill is a joke and your recent actions are a farce. These are my comments.

And tell Banzhaf to mind his business. He has no business sticking his attention whoring egotistical nose in it. ASH is a joke too."

And I forwared it to them. Let him read that. :D

Hello FDA,

I just wanted to thank you for each and every roadblock you throw up regarding e-cigarettes.

By the time they reach "legal" status in your opinion, a process that can take 5-10 years, your efforts may be contributed to the death of over 4 MILLION people in the United States alone. Since many countries do not have your resources and rely on what you say, they also will ban the product. This easily puts your kills into the hundreds of millions. Congratulations. you make Hitler look good! I hope it's worth the tax revenue. You make me sick beyond belief.

I smoked cigarettes for over 30 years, and like tens, if not hundreds of thousands of others, I have quit from day one thanks to an e-cigarette. But no, tens of thousands of people quitting is not enough, you want a study. I could care less, it's my body and I'll put whatever I want into it, I don't need your permission.

So enlighten me. My juice has a whopping six ingredients in it while cigarettes have thousands. My juice contains no levels of carcinogens above trace levels vs over 60 for regular cigarettes. I say trace levels because they do indeed exist, but at TRACE levels. The very same levels that exist in nicotine patches and gum. All FDA approved by the way. As is every other ingredient of the juice.

And here's the weird part, you want to keep cigarettes legal! I might be able to see your point on the "dangers" of those nasty e-cigarette's if regular cigarettes were illegal, but they are not, which makes your organization the very description of hypocrisy.

You are simply an embarrassment to our country. Beholden to the almighty dollar that is given to you in one way or another in your "fight" to stop those nasty tobacco users. Ironically, the ones who pay your salary through the ridiculous taxes imposed upon them.

Please, keep up the murderous work that you do so well. I particularly enjoy your success with Chantix, top notch stuff.
