Yeah, I know water is good for you but I absolutely hate it. It's taken me a few weeks to get the hang of the 901 and I'd actually say that the only side effect that really bothers me (aside from the hot flashes which may or may not be related) is the cotton ball feeling in my mouth. I know that's normal. Right now I'm vaping a MVS 555 50% with 25%VG and 25% plain PG and a few drops of LorAnn's English Toffee. I've just started using it regularly (e-cig) within the last few days due to user error issues.

Are there any tips anywhere on the dryness issue? Does this subside at all after awhile? Are there any LorAnn flavors or commercial liquids that don't seem SO drying?

My mouth feels like a cotton ball which isn't helping with my cutting out analogs...Coffee is my friend, which doesn't help with the dehydration issue...

I have read somewhere in the forum that water alone is useless - you need rehydrating sports type drinks Lucozade/Gatorade with the necessary salts. Or some salty snacks.

Do a forum search on rehydration/dehydration - it may throw up some gems.

Best,

C.

I vape all day at home and all day at work (well not all day, but the same amount I used to smoke cigs) and I have not found dehydration to be a problem. Actually I found it a lot less problematic than actual cigarettes. Real cigs I couldn't get the taste to go away but ecig taste lingers for a short while then dissapears. I'm using PG because only one place sells VG and I've heard VG clogs atomizers and is really sweet in comparison so I haven't bothered trying vg to see if it makes a difference.

For those watching sugar intake flavored Pedialyte (available in baby food section of groceries) or unflavored mixed with flavored sugar free drinks is also a good option for maintaining electrolyte balance. I mix the unflavored with Splenda and some lemon or lime juice for a sugar free electrolyte drink. Since I raise dogs I keep this onhand anyway...handy stuff.

I am no expert but have you ever slept with your mouth open or had a fan on you while you slept? Same principle I think. You are sucking in a lot of drying air..with a touch of pg/vg and not a lot of water. Oddly enough cigarettes did the same thing to me.
Water or like my water hating friend used, alka selzer. try just rinsing your mouth or brushing your teeth..hey you might get whiter teeth by accident! LOL
