i'm a really dull sort myself. when not either trying to reestablish myself helping my best friend/roommate and his fiance keep their small children in 1 piece while they stay sane, or on these forums, i'm usually either reading or thinking of things i can mod or ways to do for myself when i don't get the rare treat of some1 asking if i want to go do something which i'm almost always up for.

Think you can handle the mid-west winters? Sub zero cold? Snowfall measured in feet, not inches?

HAHAhAhahaha.......we are hearty people up here.

Are you kidding.. I'm practically melting down here. I think I wore my coat maybe 3 times last winter. I haven't seen real snow since I was very little. My mom used to say when they could get me to finally come inside, they'd have to chip through the ice just to get my parka off.

Actually, Wicca as it's known today is a faith that was founded in the 1950's b y Gerald Gardner.

He took what he knew and understood of the OLD religion of Earth based Celtic Paganism and organized it into it's own entity.

In reality, many of the Holidays and rituals that are considered Wiccan, are based in much more ancient traditions.

I was raised in the ancient ways of my mother and her mother before her, and her mother, etc. They didn't use the term Witch, where Wicca does use the term. There wasn't the hierarchy in my upbringing that there is in Wicca. There was no High Priestess, or High Priest. They, in their times, and I now in mine, practice as solitary, or what might be said hedge witches.

I'll keep this at this, a simple but complete explanation.

I was on the Mississippi gulf coat in the late 1990's and in December. I was wearing a wind breaker while everyone else was in parkas. I was told it was unseasonably cold that year.......I get back to Wi and have the shovel my way IN to my town house waist high in snow.

Love to travel, last place I went was Beijing. Live next to an intense park that houses the West Coast Audubon and the hiking is awesome. Adore to cook but don't always have time. I'm a meditator. Like some adventure. Was a sport skydiver for several years. Most of the time I work and I take little adventures to new restaurants or lots of theatre. Read a lot, a lot. Mostly biographies right now and some spiritual stuff.

I'm really enjoying getting to know folks on ECF. Smoking cigarettes was a huge part of my life. I can honestly say when I quit them on 7/1/10, it has changed my life. It's great to share that with everyone else.

Blessings!
