Asking for Prayers

Hi everyone,

I am in need. My big brother (my only sibling and my best friend) is in trouble. He has been diagnosed with Endocarditis (a tumor type growth on his arterial valve ((heart)). He is going to be admitted to the hospital in the morning for further testing and possible open heart surgery. He's only 39 years old!!!

Please, if you believe in God (or just in good energy) please pray for him (and for the rest of the family). If he passes away, I don't know how we will make it without him. He has been my families' rock since my mom was killed in a car accident a few years ago.

The doc said today that he's lucky to still be here as the echo cardiogram shows that the disease is very advanced.

If it is any help, I was born with a blocked aorta artery, The main one to your heart.
They operated ( one of the first ever done)

They did a good job even then, so many years later I am still here and fine.

My father in law had heart valve replacement done at 80 yrs old. He did well too.

Medicine has come a long way since then. I think your brother has a very good chance of doing just fine with this.

Good thoughts and lots of prayers coming to you and your brother!

I will make sure I say some good prayers for all of you. Stay strong. I was a medic in an ER for a while and trust me, miracles do happen everyday! The fact that your brother is still here and the problem was found seems to be a great sign that theres one in the works right now.

Thank you all so much. It's hard to read all of your wonderful responses through tear filled eyes.

I can't believe this is happening to him. If you knew him, you'd love him as much as I do. He is the most kind, thoughtful soul I know! I'm so lucky that not only do I have the chance to know him but, - God blessed me so much that I can call him my brother.

That probably makes no sense. It's so hard to put feelings into words sometimes.

Just know that your kind thoughts, words and prayers are appreciated.
