Apart from the nice stabwood looks and a few safety features what's so good about the Luna? Seems like plenty of members like them.
I don't own one but there are some good deals going and I love unregulated squonkers.

Ask the question in the Asmodus Thread, it's in the Temperature Control Section.
There's lots of long time Luna Heads there that will be all too happy to help!
I do recommend getting one, you seem like a fellow Lunatic:lol::lol:

Thanks Daniel. Since I posted that I bought one from CVapor for US$26.99. Aus $ 48.93 incl shipping which seems like good price.
BTW I'm hopeless at starting new threads! Whenever I do it always end up in the Forum How To's LOL.
Is there a simple step by step process to starting a new thread for future reference? I have a hard time finding the red "Start New Thread" button

Yup. Go to the forum in which you want to open a thread. Look at the front page:

See the big red "Post New Thread" button to the right ? Click on that button and follow the prompts: Type the title of your thread and your message. Hit submit.

I have, I think, 10 Lunas. If I could only have one mod for the rest of my life, Luna would be it. And I have a lot of very nice mods. But it’s my favorite.

If you haven’t, watch a couple review videos. Cons - the battery plug has magnets in the tab that can be a little much. Only one of mine had that problem, and that tab sticks to the plug if I let go of it. The others don’t, they’re fine.

The squonk bottle is a little tricky to remove to fill, and it’s tricky to get the top of it tight. I recommend getting a refill bottle. Easy peasy.

Not a good left hand mod.

Otherwise, it locks, nice squishy bottles, decent battery life, strong hit.

Couldn't have said it better than ^^^^^^ that or @Daniel Forsyth !!! :D I also have a stable of Luna's and they are awesome squonkers. With the Sourcemore deal (like $26-$28) I don't think you can go wrong.

I'm a lefty and I think @NolaMel is too. We have zero problems with the Luna as lefties. ;) It was awkward for me initially, for like a few minutes, then it was normal. It's lefty certified!!!

I’m not a lefty, except for vaping and tennis lol. It definitely works fine left handed

Thanks Delores. I've watched a few reviews now and it makes me even more impatient for the arrival of the slow boat.

I will be the dissenter. I have 4 Luna's cause I think they are the most gorgeous things ever. That said, I don't like the button placement or removing bottle to clean etc. It is a pita. It feels awkward to me and I am not a lefty. I have stopped squonking with mine and just use it with a tank. Solved most of the problems.

Keeping my experiences in mind and coming after the dissenting post, the Luna was the first squonk mod I actually ever used (although it wasn't the first one I purchased...lol)

There's a bit of a learning curve going from regulated mods with RTA's to unregulated squonk mods..

the first RDA you buy may not be your favorite perfect vape, and coil placement and wicking is different from building an RTA..

you also have to get used to squonking, the first dry hit I ever got was on a squonk mod.. you sometimes forget to squonk because your not used to it, you also have to learn how much pressure to apply to your squonk bottle etc., so it might not feel natural at first..

Also, builds that work perfect for you in a regulated mod aren't perfect in an unregulated mod etc. etc. etc..

However, once your through any learning curve your more likely than not to really enjoy it - but it's not without you feeling a bit like a newbie all over again.. lol.. at least for a few minutes..

the Luna bottle is messier to remove and clean and reinsert, so you'll want a 510 squonk refill bottle.. that is very helpful with the Luna, it definitely minimizes any mess..

Thanks Opinionated. I've been using many different RTAs, RDAs and rebuildables of all types and both regulated and unregulated squonkers for more than a few years now. My question was specific to the Luna itself
