So I have been very very impressed with the Aspire Atlantis that I got yesterday. It finally arrived! I cannot believe how good this thing is! I will occasionally drip, but usually use an RBA, in most cases the kayfun single coil, at about 0.6 ohms. This is not so much about the Atlantis as it is about the coils that come with it. So in addition to the two coils that came with the tank, I purchased a 5 pack of 0.5ohm coils. Boy are they expensive, but I guess that doesn't surprise me, being as these coils are really the bread and butter of the Atlantis.

So I have taken a good look at the coil and its very impressively built. It is a vertical single coil it looks like, and the wicking material is all wrapped around the outside of the coil - its like a chimney build. At the end of the wick there is a small piece of mesh to keep it all in place it looks like. The mesh came right off with a little pressure, no problem. I am really woindering if anyone has checked out these coils yet, and if so, do you think it is possible to change the wicking material out - eventually the wick will get nasty and possibly (but hopefully not) it could end up getting burnt. If this happens, I would really like to be able to replace the wick instead of getting rid of the coil, being as they are so expensive. So basically I am asking if anyone has taken a good look at the coils for the Atlantis yet, and do you see a way to replace the wick without destroying the coil? Thanks in advance, and once again I am very impressed with the Atlantis. I run it on my sigelei 100 watt and I hit 35-40 watts just fine! It works great on the smy god mod that goes up to 180 watts, but theres no way im doing that, im almost afraid to go over 40 for fear of burning these expensive coils! I can try to take some pics of the coil or make a video of it here shortly and post those if anyone wants. Thanks again!
