I am using the ipv2s and Aspire Atlantis tank. I have very little vapor being produced and I have have had a few vape friends look at it and they are confused as well. coils were primed and I vape all day long so the coils should be broken in. I start lowest wattage at 7 and gradually work up to 30 watts. Nothing I do seems to help. I checked to make sure it is authentic and coil heads are .5 and authentic as well. I want big clouds like I see in all the YouTube videos and I seem to be the only one with the low vape issue. No matter what I do I just can't get the production. I have looked at all the tips and have followed to a T. Need additional advice. I love the flavor of all the juices I have 50/50 pg/vg 75/25 80/20 and 100 vg. I have mouth hit and lung hit but vape production is lacking. I have seen people get an impressive cloud but my cloud barely fills a 20 oz bottle. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

30 watts is just about the bare minimum for that coil. In a mech mod with a fully charged battery you would be getting 35 watts from the same coil. For a .5ohm coil you should start at 30 watts and go up from there.

Also completely forget about mouth to lung hits with a subohm setup like the Atlantis. It's way to airy for that. It's got to be straight lung hits with at least a 5 second draw if you want any serious vapor.

Took it to 40 watts 100 vg and now it tastes burnt and no improvement. I primed the coil and gave a few puffs to make sure it's saturated nicely. Could it be an issue with the mod or would it have more to do with the tank? everything seems to be fine I'm getting decent flavor but vape is lacking terribly. Lung hit until I almost couldn't breathe and still small production.

That doesn't make sense at all.

Unless....

The juice is bad. Is all of your juice from the same place? If so, is there some way you can get some from an alternate source? If it's wicking and getting hot enough to give you a burnt taste it absolutely should be producing tons of vapor. It sounds like a problem with the juice.

I thought about that as well. I have juice from 3-4 different sources and it's the same across the board. I am at a complete loss. the only thing I haven't tried is a different mod and tank. That's my next task but unfortunately I have to wait as funds are low. I was hoping someone else has had someone they know or even themselves have had the same issue.

Try taking it up to a local vape shop. See if they will let you put one of their taster tanks on your mod to make sure it's working properly. If it is see if they will test your tank on one of their mods. Any good vape shop should be more than happy to help you, after all, you're a potential customer if they do.

Through process of elimination if the juice is good and the settings are good then there's got to be a short or poor connection somewhere in the chain. Either the mod isn't firing correctly, the tank isn't working correctly, or you just have a poor connection between the two. A vape shop should be more than happy to let you troubleshoot the problem. If their tester tank works fine on the mod then it's not the mod. If your tank works fine on their mod then it's not the tank. If it's neither the tank nor the mod then there is a problem with the connection between the two.

One more question. I'm assuming you're cleaning the tank when switching juices. Are you making sure everything is nice and dry before you refill it? Water can really kill the vapor production.

I will try that. It can't possibly make things worse. I never thought maybe a conectiin issue because it fires every time and its nice and warm. solid thought and great advice. Yes when I clean I usually let sit overnight and refill in the mornings.

I want to preface this with the fact that I am a noob to vaping. I have only been doing it for about three weeks. I am running the IPV2 with an IMR 2500 battery and the Aspire Atlantis using .5 ohm coil and have no problems getting huge clouds of vapor with great flavor. I'm running at 25 watts. I am using 50/50 Juice 12mg nic. When the coil was new I primed through the top, put drops on each opening. Then filled the tank, did some non-powered draws on it with the air restricted down and saw air bubbles come out. My first 4 or 5 hits were at 22 watts then I worked my way up 1 watt at a time all the way to 30 watts testing the flavor. I ended up backing down to 25 watts and use it all day long. I watched a very good video on the Atlantis coil and success with the coils is had by proper priming. Not sure if this helps but I have had great luck.

I am getting a little better production now still not plumes by any means. Does nic level effect cloud performance? I liked the nic high feeling so I always got 24 nic. I am picking up some 12 in the next couple days. My buddy said nic level could be effecting it because nic is a heavier liquid and might not allow for a good cloud. I automatically thought he was out of his mind but actually it would make sense. Accurate info I'm not sure but I'm going to try it and see if it helps. Local vape shops had no idea what was up with it. If 12 nic works then my buddy is a genius lol. I will post will results.

It isn't necessary to have the holes line up as there is plenty of space for the juice to pass inside the holes in any position, I do it because of wanting to see them throw bubbles and some of the coils had this same issue or weren't wicking correctly. I would suggest getting 2 Atlantis tanks together and swap parts to eliminate the culpret.
