Aspire Atlantis question/concern.

Hello all,

Just got my Aspire Atlantis tank a little under a week ago and just recently noticed the tip is getting hot after chain vaping about 3-4 times. Excuse me if this is a noob question but I couldnt find the answer anywhere on this forum. Is this normal?

I'm using it on a copper nemesis clone with a purple efest 18650 2500 mah and a 50/50 ratio PG/VG juice.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Metal tips will heat up if your chain vaping. I use a pretty mild setup (8W) and my nautilus mini tip gets pretty warm when I vape a lot. You can buy drip tips that are made of Pyrex, plastic, and other materials that won't transfer the heat as quickly. I love the look of the metal tips, but I'm not a big fan of the way they heat up, or the flavor they leave in your mouth.

the drip tip hating up might also be airflow related. i run my atlantis and kayfuns with pretty tight air flow and the whole thing gets warm after chain vaping. more airflow helps to keep the coils from getting to hot. i run both kayfun and atlantis on my ipv2 at 23-40 watts. but when i was using a mech with my kayfuns i had the same heat issues.
