Hi all,

Got my BDC yesterday, and used it last night, moving between 3.8-4.2V on my MVP2.0. Using 80pg/20vg juice.

This morning, I saw thick, dark, burnt looking liquid coming out of the holes in the head, way darker than the juice i had in it. Heard a little bubbling when i drew from it, but the taste and vapor seemed fine.

I soaked the head in everclear and came back 30 min later and the everclear was now brown, with chunks floating in it.

... did i do wrong here? Is 4.2V too high for this coil, and i just fried it or something?

4.2v is not too high for a dual-coil (1.8 ohm head right?). 4.2v is pretty high for a single 1.8ohm coil on the other hand though.

I suspect the charring and chunks is the top coil/wick burning up. Take out the grommet at the top of the head and look into the atomizer. Can you still see the top coil and wick?

I can, but it looks dark....
