I bought a 5 pack and i keep them in rotation. Takes some maintaining but you could try boiling them for about 10 minutes. Let them dry for a bit then dry burn em to finish. I try to keep one drying and ready to go,

I really like this tank so the extra work to keep the heads working perfect are really worth it to me,

For those who say they have no problems, where are you getting them from. I got mine from Discount vapors where I have purchased other items from with no issues on anything else. Actually great products at a great price and great service too. I try to read everything there is to read before I buy anything. Have to agree with some who give reviews way to fast, actually use it and the parts for it before you start raving which would help many of us. Have to say I have not tried boiling yet and have to agree with another post about they seem to work better at lower voltage of vv devices. Thanks for your replies I am speaking with David at discount vapors now who has asked me to send him links that I am reading about others having the same issue with the inconsistency of these heads.

I have the vapeonly ET S, I think it's the same one just different branding (Pyrex BDC).

It came with a 2.2ohm head which I have been using for a while, just rinse/dry refill. I've had no problems with it and really like it.

The other head that came with it is a 1.8ohm, when I first used it the flavour was off, but this was with a new liquid that I later tried in a evod and it still tasted off. After I washed it and refilled with better liquid the flavour was ok but I preferred the 2.2ohm even though it had been used/washed out quite a few times.

I have just ordered a 5 pack of 2.2ohm heads, they should be here tomorrow. Really hoping they will be ok, I was planning on ordering another ET S. I've just ordered my first liquid with cinnamon, so I want one for this liquid and one for my favourite flavour. Beside anything else, it looks so nice on my itaste V3 :)

Did anyone only have problems with the 1.8 head or visa versa?

What liquids did everyone use? If they were all tank cracker type flavours could it just be the rubber bits effecting flavour? The only liquid I have tried in mine are 'safe' flavours that are ok in my evods/T3S.

My OH has just ordered a PT2, so I will see how that compares.

Boiling? If I have to boil a coil I buy something as "ready to use" there a problem with the product. I'm glad some have had success with these heads. I don't fault reviewers for the issues I had. When I have a good non foul tasting, working head it is a great vape. The reviewers my have received all good heads like some of the other ecf members here. Low volts/watts won't make the foul taste good or make a doa coil work.

Aspire BDC Clearomizer - YouTube

He says the coil heads have a less than 50% success rate
Hope this helps

I forgot about the pin lol. ugh
Tank Airflow Controller

I use these on allot of my tanks. There is a floating pin in them. I haven't had a pin problem with the use of these. I use the air control to protect my mod pins from scoring on tanks that use a screw ie kayfun. They also keep juice from getting to my battery connections. Not real sexy looking but they do a job

I didn't have a single problem with either the 1.8 or 2.1 coils. I would think that having as many as I do I would have run into something by now. I had the same issues some of you are having with the Evod BCC tanks. I bought one and really liked it, so a week later I bought 4 more. Those 4 NEVER acted right. And eventually my original started sucking. Tried new coils and all. I almost feel like certain tanks don't play well with certain batts. I have 2 itaste vv and an MVP2. It's a conspiracy!! Lol

I've been using the Aspire BDC, both plastic and Pyrex tanks, for a couple months and do not find them to be a good bang for buck.
I've yet to have a bad out of the box coil but have went through almost 25 coils in that time.
When they're new and fresh, they're great but after a couple of tanks the flavor becomes subdued and I have yet to get over a few days out of one before the taste just gets bland.
I use 60VG juice so I started thinning it with PG and that helped but the juice is also watered down so no gain.
For now, it's back to tank cartos for me so I can at least get the full flavor of my juice and enjoy vaping again.

Hey pawsrb,
Just thought I would check back to see if you found a solution for your problem with the coil heads and thought I would try to answer some of your recent questions.
Where did I buy mine: I bought a 5 pack replacement heads @1.8 ohms about 2 months ago from MyFreedomSmokes.com and another 5 pack 1.8 ohms from Sure Vapes around the middle of Dec. The Aspire ET-S clearomizers I have were bought at MyFreedomSmokes.com also at the same time. These are all the Aspire brand and not the vapeonly aspire brand, although I don't know that there is any difference between the two.
As I said, I have had no problems and I am so sorry to hear that you have cause I just love these. When they work they are great. I do want to say that it is not Discount Vapors fault, nor any other vendors fault if the heads are bad. Discount Vapors is a great vendor, from what I have read on this forum. Unfortunately I do not know of any vendors that guarantee coil heads and only a few will replace them but only if they are DOA (I think this is the case but may be wrong). I can remember a time, about a year ago, when there was a big problem with the boge cartos, they even named it "bogegate". People had been using them for years with no problems but then they started having a lot of duds. It was a manufacturers problem and, thankfully, it was resolved. These things happen now and then and unfortunately we are the ones who suffer for it.
I would say that you could either wait a little while and try them again or you could order some from another vendor and see if maybe your vendor just got a bad batch. Since they already told you that the heads have less than 50 percent success rate maybe they did get a bad batch. Who knows. I am sorry you have had all these problems and frustration and I hope you get this problem worked out or find something that works better for you. I have to go watch my 3 year old granddaughter for a while so I will check back later to see if you have any more questions that I can try to help with.

I have had the same problem with my Aspire Nautilus coils. when first using a new coil, i primed it and used a 50/50 mix juice in it for about a week set at 3.7v and it started tasting burnt, so i took the coil out and rinsed it with hot water and let it sit to dry for a day, went to use it and it tastes burnt, primed it and let it sit for 10-20 mins to get saturated with juice and it still tastes like S$%t..so then i tried a rebuild of the coil with 28g-10wraps using cotton, came out to 1.6ohm but just dont have the flavor that i got from the original coil, so im just gonna keep playing with it and see what i can build to get close to the original dual coil ..Also im not understanding the coils burning up so fast in the Nautilus, they say their designed to last a lot longer, If i figure something out on a rebuild on the coils that works good ill let you know..VAPE ON!!!:vapor:

If it matters at all, the one i have is the one with the glass/pyrex inner shell and (i think) powder coated/painted aluminum outer shell but without the bottom "skirt(?)". Got it from a local B&M, was going to get a protank 2 but the girl there suggested the Aspire instead. I don't blame her, from what she was saying her and her family members use the Aspires and everyone likes them better than the PT's. Maybe it was just a few bad batches or something like that. When I first used it it was good for the first night, next morning though it tasted like I was vaping an assortment of chemicals, same fluid from the night before but absolutely zero flavor other than burning chemicals. When it was tasting good it worked well so I'd be psyched to find out they solved the problem, or even if there is a fix I have to do I'm ok with that, like Legolas said they should work out of the box but if i have to boil the head first or clean with alcohol or do jumping jacks while singing the national anthem that's better than nothing. Just need to know if either a.) the problem is fixed or b.) do this to the coil head before replacing and it will work every time.

Here's a vid for rebuilding them for those that are having the issues but have the experience to do it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwgkYUgZXHI might tear mine apart tonight just to see if two leads in mine are touching causing the issue.

Thanks for the video but I think I'll keep building on my kayfun's. I will try rebuilding one for kicks. It does look pretty tight to work on.
Gotta love rip tripper ;)

not to be rude but who is he?

Come on brother/sister rip tripper, Really. I get a kick out of his videos. He post some new ideas on coil making or at least ones I haven't seen for the most part. He does fixes on atty's and reviews. His are short and to the point. Meaning lots of cuts

Maybe its just the heads I get for the nautilus but if you look at the top coil you'll notice the wraps aren't very tight leaving pretty large gaps between them. The coil wraps just aren't consistent. I find this is usually why 2/3 out of 5 heads are duds. You could try tightening up those wraps but you have to make sure you get the bottom coil too otherwise you'll run into the same problem.
