I wanted to post this under a discussion going on in the general forum, but being a new member that wasn't allowed, so I'm doing it here. Some were saying that there are 2 different style 2 holed atomizers for the aspire bdc, one that wicks better then the other. I got my tank Saturday, and it came with a 1.8 ohm head. Worked like perfection. Thought I had found the perfect clearo. Then I broke the head fooling around with it to see what the inside looked like. No big deal I figured, since I had ordered a 5 pack of 2.1 ohm coils. Turns out this was a huge deal. Dry hit after burning hit, took voltage from 3.9 at 8 watts to 3.3 at 6 watts, STILL BURNING. If anything I assumed a higher resistance coil would allow me to go up on voltage, not the opposite. So I was considering ordering the 1.8 ohm versions instead until I read that it's possible the one that came with is a different style then the ones that came in the pack. I'm kinda at a loss right now. Looking for any thoughts or advice on how to proceed on this!

I am having no issues with the Aspire unit, both the ET-S and the VIVI Nova-style work flawlessly.

Here are tips I posted in another thread here:

I followed Eric's advice from DiscountVapers.com and washed the new units thoroughly (excluding coil head) prior to first use to eliminate any factory production residue, film, and such. I filled them up and let them sit for a few minutes then did very gentle pulls on them to ensure the coil head was filled with juice prior to actually powering them up. This is especially crucial when using thick juices. Since the two holes are small and there is a liner in front of those holes, it's imperative that one lets the coil head get saturated with juice prior to vaping.

I believe those that are complaining about them are in too much of a hurry to use them, don't clean the unit first and don't allow the juice to soak into the coil head assembly.

See my original post here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...recommend-use-ego-battery-4.html#post11313140

Now I am still using the 1.8 ohm heads and when I re-order them I stay with the 1.8 ohm units. Both the 1.8 ohm and 2.1 ohm are available in a 5-pack blister card. Discount Vapers has the best price I've see for the replacement coil heads at $9.99 per 5-pack.

Try out my tips on filling it and see if that helps you out.

I've been using the Aspire Mega BDC Glassomizer (1.8 head) for over a week with no major problems. I tried a 2.1 head and also found it resulted in a undesirable very lightly burned taste.
I did find my main juice (60VG/40PG) to have a muted flavor but mixing some similar flavored 80PG/20VG) in it resolved that issue.
I only ordered 2x2.1 heads and I'm going to let the wife try the other 2.1 with some of her 80VG/20PG juice.
Overall, I'm finding the Aspire BDC design to be a good design.

Thanks for the input! Maybe it is just the 2.2 heads afterall. I ordered a pack of 1.8 and am going to see if I can get the initial awesomeness back from this tank. Also as to your wife, I was using primarily vg on the 2.1 head and even mixed it down to close to 50-50 and it still burned, but maybe her MMV.

You described my experience to the T. I have tried 7 heads Shana. They all burn up at 3.3 volts. My lungs started to hurt after the 20th dry hit. I am glad I am starting to see a trend with more and more people having issues tells me there is a issue. Has vape only made any comments On these issues?

Here's something interesting, head on over to the anyvape website and see if they even have the aspire on their site. No where to be found.... Suspicious? I think so.

i blew up my tessla/ vivi nova set up,( the tessla was an especially piece of disappointment ) so went back to a kanger device cranked up to 4.3 volts and bought the BDCC Aspire. and 2.1 coils. there are 3 video (you tube) reviews on this forum raving about the aspire and i agree completely that it is what i was looking for -- a powerful TH and lots of vapor!!! the protank 1 that i was using was fine but just not powerful enough.

I have 4 Aspire ET-S Pyrex units and 3 VIVI Nova Pyrex.

I have had ZERO issues with them, so far. I have noticed though that the ET-S units vape different than the VIVI ones but not a significant difference. All my coil heads are 1.8 ohms and I will stay with the 1.8 ohm heads when I purchase replacements. They're going on two weeks now and still cooking great.

Now I had nothing but issues with cartomizers, sometimes my ProTank 2 would leak or clog or dry burn. Now my Kanger T3S tanks and single Kanger EVOD work good too. I rebuild the coils on them to suit my personal preference.

I guess it all boils down to personal taste and preference.

My next tank is going to be an RBA. An AGA 2 Genesis-style unit as I have heard very good thing about these. Since I have messed with electrical and electronic kits for decades I don't believe I'll have any issues, too much that is.
