Shrouded in clouds

I was inspired by the new Aspire's wicking method around their coils so I decided to try it on my Stillare rda. I always thought the wick could not touch the outside of the coil, but it worked!

pros: easier to juice, wicks better

cons: not as much clouds, and a discharge after firing it

I am assuming that since the wick is over the coil, not as much vapor can be produced. I am puzzled as to why it discharges, that usually happens the wick burns but I checked them and they were perfectly fine.

Has anyone else tried this?

Looks good, man!

I think that style of wicking is more popular with under-coil airflow, like in a Kayfun, Fogger, Magma, (the aspire heads) etc.

I imagine you're getting that "afterburn" because the air is having a hard time touching the surface of the coil, which is why I typically see those hollow builds vertically on under-coil air atomizers, I believe.

Either way, looks cool!
