I got an Aspire ET-S, and it worked really good for one week. Then the tank started leaking. Well I cleaned it up, and changed the coil. I let it sit for over 5 minutes. Tried to vape it, and I keep getting a burned taste. There is no liquid on the battery. I also noticed the tip area of the coil, that connects to the battery is slightly wobbly. I moved it slightly to the center, reattached the battery, and same thing. I tried it about 5 different times over a period of an hour. Still a burned taste. (I put brand new fresh juice in it) This is the only coil I have. I put the other coil on another Aspire tank. Now I'm stuck. Do you think the coil is bad, or is something else is going on? Let's just say I was a happy camper with this tank, and now I am not. Plus I put my best juice in there too. That really ticks me off.

You need to "prime" those coils. Letting them sit isn't enough. You need to toke on them without hitting the fire button. You should see air bubbles escaping from the coils as they draw liquid into them.

Do that until there are no more air bubbles. Also, note your tank level before priming. It should lower by .2 or .3 ml.

agree with 1fix

you need to FULLY SATURATE the little Aspire coils
(flooded is easier to fix than burnt)

cool design with ET/ET-S is there is only (2) air intake holes in base...

screw topper on, pinch fingers to cover the holes and suck a few times lightly
this will cure any 'vapor-lock' that is present and you will see air bubbles rise

I also like to break coils in with lower power settings than what I normally vape them at
after so long you just know/can tell when coil is broke in & then you may apply desired V/W setting

The ET-S was my first dual coil bottom feed tank. I still use one infrequently since I bought a lot of coils. As said above, taking draws without firing does help to prime the coils. When I used 50/50 juice or high pg juice I rarely had a problem. Once I started using a high vg juice, the coils would burn out faster. I always felt the coils did not last long, sometimes only a day or three before needing changed. What are you using to fire this tank? I used a VW and tried to stay under 9 watts to try and keep the coils working.

Once you start to get the bad taste, it is time to change them. I have taken the coils apart and do see where the seal for the coil has a burnt look that may be compromised, causing the tank to leak. I do hear that Aspire has developed a vertical coil for these tanks which may give better results.

Yes, I for got to mention this. Very good advice. I usually start at the lowest setting and slowly increase power in .2 increments.

I am using a cheap Ego type battery that came with a starter kit. I can't adjust it. I have another just like it, only larger. But the good news is, I have an iTaste MVP 2.0 on the way. I also have a Nautilus Mini tank on the way too. I am disappointed in how long these coils are lasting. The store said they were the least likely to leak, from what they carried in my price range. But this gurgled some, which didn't bother me. But when it leaked, flooded, and I got hot juice on my tongue... Not a good thing.

Been Vaping a little over 2 years now.
At this time I have reached the point I use and build RBA tanks. This experience has also solved my occasional Burnt Coil head issues.

My tip:
When installing a new coil head - Wet it with the liquid you will be vaping. Place a few drops on it. Blow lightly into it to move the liquid to the wicks.
BVC coils have a Wrap so a few extra drops is advised(in steps) to saturate the wick.

Do Not worry about a drop or two dripping through. the idea is to Avoid Dry burnt wicking/Juice.
