I found a photo of the new VTR. It looks much better than the old version. The con is it only goes to 15watts.

I will buy this the second it hits the market, seems to check all my boxes....

I totally understand the feeling- but I HIGHLY recommend waiting a bit on this before pulling the trigger. The Nebox burned a lot of people, including myself, and Aspire has its share of sins too. These all in one boxes are my vaping utopia...but there is so much that can go wrong.

Just my two cents, but I think we really gotta slow down on these new technologies. Kanger didn't pay any real price for selling a box that barely worked and leaked because we all bought it on release. Hopefully if we slow down on this one, Aspire will have do it right, or pay a price. An early morning rant, but I had to say it out loud.

Agreed! The Nebox is the worst purchase I have ever made

I hear ye, precisely why I didn't pre-order this, I WILL wait for some reviews before ordering...but if nothing iffy appears to be going on I wil need this :)

Completely agree. I bought the original eGrip and was hankering for more of the same AIO form factor. When the Nebox came out I almost pulled the trigger (the subtank mini was just awesome) till I heard it wasn't a "Nebox" so much as a "Leakbox".

I agree new models of any product is risky but I decided to be a guinea pig and ordered one because I wanted to get in on the pre-order price and I need a short mod to fit in my shirt pocket for when I'm mowing my yard on my tractor. It's too hard to try and pull mods from my pants pockets while driving my tractor. I'll only need this mod for mowing once a week. The rest of the week putting a mod in my pants pockets works fine. The vendor claims to warranty it for 6 months, so I'm not too worried about problems.

The few things I don't like about it is it's only 50 watts, they don't have any coils in between 0.04 and 1.6 ohms, and you have to drain the tank of juice to change coils. However for a once a week mod I can live with those drawbacks.

If it takes a standard Nautilus coil, it should also take a Triton Mini coil, no? That one has a 1.2 ohm option.

I don't know if it will accept a Triton Mini coil or not. There's no mention of it in the ads. I'll have to send a email to Aspire and ask. 1.2 ohm would be perfect. That's what I'm using now in my Uwell Crown and I like it.

Update: I checked out the Triton coil and it sounds like it should work. It says the recommended watt range is 15 to 20W. I wonder if it can go higher. My Crown coil goes to 30W. That's where I have my mod set now and it works great.

I like the idea of a captured (recessed) tank. Being on my feet at work all day, i put my rig in my back pocket and vape and go, i have broken several tank glasses by bending over. A tank sitting on top of a mod has always looked . . . . ."odd" to me anyway. And thank god the manufactures are finally coming around to the idea of design, instead of the same silver box, one of the many reasons i love my reuleauxs!

I always thought a tank sitting on top looks odd too. If I like the Plato a lot it just might become my everyday out and about mod.

Now if we can just get the industry to adopt a lugged quick release, instead of the 510 thing, i would be in heaven!
Push. 90 degree turn. Locked!

That sounds good to me. The 510 connection is old from the cigalike days and needs to be updated. I always thought a tank with a tiny connection was stupid. I've dropped mods before and the 510 connection usually bends. At least Provape was wise enough to abandon the 510 in favor of a more robust P3 connection.

I'll pass on this one. From the looks of things, you can only use Aspire tanks with it meaning I would have to buy all new tanks & coils. I carry around 10 BCC tanks with me, every day, so that would not be a cheap purchase.

My Coolfire IV's will take whatever I feel like putting on top of it! And TC doesn't do anything for me..

It is a nice looking mod, though.
