Hi, im new at vaping so im having a little question if there could be someone who could give me information becouse im confused about certain things.

So im using istick 50w with aspire nautilus with 1.6 ohm atomizer. Writing in side of atomizer is 3.3v-4.2v so if i go 12W with istick it show me voltage is 4.5 and with 13W its 4.7. So can i broke atomizer if my device goes over that 4.2 or does it even mean max voltage for 1.6 bvc coil? Becouse i read somewhere people go up as 17-20w and 20w shows 5.8V in my Istick, right now i have 10.8W and it shows 4.2v.

Sorry if my text is hard to understand.

Im little lost with this right now if you can help me to get best setup it would be awsome.

Hi Bob, I've had the same rig since the 50W hit the shelves and love it. Click the fire button 3 times to select watts. I'd suggest starting at low watts (7 to 8) and take a hit, increase , take a hit. If it gets too warm or starts to taste burnt , back it down. The Nautilus is a great tank, do it this way to find your sweet spot and you'll love it. I vape the 1.6 around 12 watts myself. (hold BOTH arrows down at the same time to lock, then the wattage won't change if you accidentally hit it... same to unlock)

Good luck in your vape journey.

You will not break your atomizer by going above the volts written on the side. You might get a little bit of a burnt taste, but it won't break anything. Just start low and come up slowly, don't worry about the writing on the side. Taste is the important thing here.

If you go too high on wattage you can prematurely fry the atty. I did this on accident by being on a full 50 watts when i first got my istick. Not something i recommend. Worse dry hit ive ever had and destroyed a fairly new coil.

To the op. As others have said. Start low and work your way up to what you like most. At voltage it may shorten the life a bit but they make good coils that should last 2 to 3 weeks. I like between 4.2 and 4.8 before i completely switched to dripping.

I often run my 1.6 ohm coils on my iStick 50 around 11-12W which is about 4.5V. However, I usually start around 9W on a fresh coil (after properly priming it) before I start nudging the power

When the coil starts to degrade (taste a little burnt) I'll back down a bit. I can tell this coil is getting toward its end of life because the resistance is now almost 2 ohms.... Time to change :)
