Hello I have read as many posts on this topic as I could find. I got an aspire nautilus with bvc and for the first couple of days it was very good.
Then it started gurgling and the hit was not as good.
I am using e liquid that is 70 pg 30 vg and 60pg 40 vg all of which were fine for the first two days.

I have taken it apart and cleaned it and dried it making sure not to over tighten it. I have checked that it is an authentic nautilus and authentic bvc.
I have tighten the bottom with the air holes closed _ as per a video suggested. I have just finger tightened everything carefully top and bottom as a post suggested.Making sure the orings on the coil were not crushed. I have filled it all different levels of liquid. I have primed it without firing a few times.I have used four different coils. I have changed batteries and used voltage of 3.5-3.6-3.7-3.8-3.9-4.0-4.1-4.2-4.3. It was previously giving a good vape hit at 4.0 for both e liquids I used. I have changed nautilus tanks - i have two of them.

I have used all four air holes and have drawn slowly. vapour is being produced but its not the same hit as it was when i first got it. The vapour seemed stronger using exactly the same e liquid but today it is weak. Today is colder than the previous two days if that can make any difference.

So I have tried all suggestions I have found but anyone who knows something different would be most appreciated.
Thank you.

What ohm reading are you currently getting? Try increasing the voltage to where you get more vapor. The coils will withstand higher volts. After a few days you may find the a rise in resistance from use.

I just use the nautilus and a single v v battery. The coils are bvc 1.8 ohm. Currently using 4.1 volts. Still new and Im not sure If a certain taste I get sometimes when i turn the voltage higher is a slight burning or just the e liquid reacting normally, It gets stronger but as this is new and I haven't had that much expeirces with e liquids well tried say few samples from three companies so far , still learning what is normal and whats not - well minus obvious faults.

Although I get it when the voltage i set is too low as very weak taste and little vapor. Thanks Jake67

Sounds like condensation building up, you have to take the drip tip off and clean it out several times a day.

I have not been doing that I will now thanks JRIP

95% of the time gurgling is a sign your coil is flooded. Flooding is generally due to one of three reasons.

1. Poor air flow
2. Juice too thin
3. You're blowing in the mouth piece before, during, or after taking a draw.

Some juices are 70 pg 30 vg others are roughly 60 pg 40 vg and others the website doesn't say.
I could sometimes be blowing into the piece as I finish. The other day there the air holes of the nautilus had e liquid in them when I picked it up after it had been sitting for an hour.
It has been better today , I did retry when placing the bottom on to make sure the air holes are closed which a video suggested. I think I had done that inadvertently the first couple of times because I remember having to open the air holes when nothing was happening after filling.
Thanks twizted.

I'm really curious about #2 there, since I am also having a lot of gurgling with the Nautilus, to the point that I am regretting buying it. I use a 75/25 pg/vg. However, I have not had this problem with regular single bottom coil clearos - protanks, mini protanks and Davides.

I'd suggest you try some 50/50 some time in your nautilus and see if it's any better.

I am still testing about when the juice gets lower in the tank. When just vaping, it shows up more often at a lower juice level. I do blow out the airhole and I close the air hole when I flip it upside right. It is getting better, maybe a combination of all. Kinda finicky compared to other tanks. Anyway, I built a coil on an RBA so I can just walk away and let it sit.

A little off topic--is there a place to buy just the base of the nautilus? Mine is now somewhat cockeyed(the press fit), still works but I think its days are numbered. Also the BVC coils no longer fit, but the BDC coils still work. Thanks--Hawk

I only found replacement parts for the Nautilus and Mini directly from Aspire's site.

Aspire Accessories : Aspire online shopping

The prices for the parts are reasonable but shipping ruins it. For me in the U.S. to ship a $10 base costs $7.32. Might as well buy a new mini at that point.
