1.9 ohms 30 gauge kanthal inside diameter 3mm 15 wraps. The little sock that easily slides out when you gut the old coils can be used to slide the new build in through the bottom. The top leg should be folded over your wick to insulate. Keep the wick light to medium density but cover the coil completely leaving the inside of the coil empty. I tucked the wick and coil in the sock and shoved it up the bottom. The draw is a touch tight so I suggest going to a smaller gauge and about 3.2mm. Take caution not to have excess wick below the coil. When you install the bottom pin the wick can get shoved up and plug the air flow. If needed I can post picks in a few days when I redo it.

Pics would be great!

Always interested in a new build technique.

Ok so I had a tad too much cotton under the coil and was getting too tight a draw. I went ahead and made another one. I used a wire coat hanger from the cleaners with the white coating to wrap the coil on. 14 wraps with 30 gauge kanthal. Comes out to 1.8 ohms. Here are some stages.
