I recently went to my local vape shop to get some new nautilus coils. I came home with two, 1.8. The one looked as if it had maybe been open and when I looked through it I didnt see a screen. The other one and previous coils had a screen. This one I just saw a coil and some cotton around it. Is this coil still good or not?? I did try to use it and it seemed different but not sure. I see there are new nautilus cotton coils, so maybe thats what this is??

Since you said it looked as if it had been opened., the first thing that came to my mind is that a person may have opened it and discovered it was a dual coil (BDC) instead of a vertical coil (BVC), and they returned/exchanged it. The BDCs don't have a screen. Look down inside at the coil. If it goes side to side instead of up and down, you got the dual coil type. And it does vape differently.

Wasn't the coil sealed in a blister pack type packaging. If it was open and loose I would be very suspicious of it. Maybe it has been rebuilt in the store, who knows!
As above, visually inspect the coil to identify it. All the new stock BVC coils come in a pack of 5 and are mainly the new cotton variety, Did yours get taken out of the 5 pack like that?
