Hi guys, pretty new to the game and have just got an aspire quest mini 50. Think j made a few errors when setting up and seemed to have burnt out the three coils that came with it. Just so I know what I doing and buying some new ones could someone kindly confirm the following
That if I want to vape using the canthol coil 1.2 ohm 15 - 20w that I need to set devise to kanthol to ka and keep between 15 and 20 w
Also what VG liquid is best for this type of coil would a 70/30 6mg be OK to use

Thanks

I would personally not vape a 1.2ohm coil above 15w, regardless. Most of the makers restrict the juice flow to coils 1.2/1.5/1.8 to stop flooding, hence you might get dry hits heading into sub-ohm levels (18 watts and above, give or take).

I use Kangers, Eleafs and Joyetechs around this watt range (12-16) and would recommend dropping down to the 0.5ohm coils for nearer 20w.

Most of the newest coils work OK with 70% VG liquid; again it depends on the design and juice holes in the atomizer head.

Thanks. Would a 50/50 be best I tend to smoke mouth to lung. I think I ended up setting up incorrectly as ended uo smoking and spitting when I tried them all out only to realise I had not turned the mouthpiece from filling to vaping. At least I hope that's what I did and no damage to the unit itself.
I assume the harshness on throat is only ever to do with mg and not the VG level.

Are you priming your coils before using them. Put a few drops of juice on them, fill your tank and let it sit for a few minutes. And as stated above, start low on watts and slowly work your way up to your desired sweet spot. Good luck & VAPE ON.

Yeah, you won't damage the unit. Glad you figured it out. If it's rated 15w-20w start at 10-12w and work up slowly to where you like it to break in a new coil. Like Djsvapour said I vape 0.6 Ohm around 20w so that seems a little high to me but some like it lower then recommended and some even go higher.
