Hi mate!
If it is NOT burning nor giving a dry hit...WHY would it NOT be safe?
Have fun

This is true. :)

In an unscientific way (but having used at least 100 of these coils) I would consider anything over 16w (or 17w) heading towards the danger zone. I don't personally think you can run 50/50 liquid at 20w for long.

Hey guys, I recently purchased a eleaf istick 30w w/ a aspire nautilus mini & just want to know if it's safe to vape it @ 18-20w with a 1.6 ohm coil?. The e-liquid ratio I use is 50/50 & so far I haven't encountered any dry or burn hits. I'm just concerned if it's safe to vape @ that wattage.

Thank You in advance
I would recommend dropping the wattages a bit.

Start low like 15 watts and work up to a satisfying vape.

NEVER start a new coil at tge same wattage the old coil was working at. That is tge fastest way to burn your cotton wicks.

Some coils have too much cotton in the coil and do not wick properly.

If yoy back off on new coil heads you can work your way up to find what wattages they can tolerate before burning the wick and having to replace a burned coil head.

istick & Nautilus Mini is a great combination for mouth to lung vapers. You should have no problems with this setup. :) Keep in mind that the quality of replacement coils can be hit and miss. I was setting up a beginning vapers setup for her, and we could get it up to 20 watts without any burnt taste. You may want to open up the air control to the maximum setting. We were using 45PG/45VG/10H20 liquid, by the way.
Welcome to ECF, good luck and happy vaping.

I had a 1.3 coil at 200 watts one time and didn't even know it..
Because i was vaping at 20.0 watts at the time..
I wear overalls at work and keep my two box mods in the bib pocket..

Anyways, I was really enjoying my vapes and not really noticing much difference other than it seeming to be working really good..
Then it hit me that something just wasn't right, after about an hour..
Man,I'm only getting like 3 hits off this thing ,rather than my usual 10 to 15 hits per drips..

I looked at my mod and seen everything looked in order..
About another hour goes by and I'm like..Ok,something is going on here..
I looked again and seen this 200 rather than this 20.0..
The one mod must have bumped up the other mods setting on me..
DOH!!!

Although you can probably get away with it, I wouldn't do it cause it's pushing the coil quite a bit (Isn't their recommended max 5v?). That would be like 5.8 volts.
