Just noticed that I am on the cusp of my counter telling me I saved $300 since quitting. I did the math, and my Hardware purchases total just over $300. I have enough juice here to last a month or so... With this in mind, it seems that sometime around Valentines day, I will cross into the realm of vaping being cheaper than smoking.

Please note that I rolled my own, and may have underestimated how much I smoked. I used the numbers for the most recent few months, and I had really cut down a lot by then.

First eGo starter kit: 40
smok Twist 1100: 12
Mini Protank2: 15
Protank3: 25
Davide BCC: 10
MVP2: 40
Igo-L: 10
AGA T2: 13
Kamry K101 kit: 36
Siegelei ZMax Mini: 50
(3) Efest 18350: 18
(2) Panasonic 18650: 25
Assorted Kanthal: 10
(2) boxes Kanger heads: 11

Total: 315.00

This does not count liquid purchases, only hardware. At this point, I just need a new mech (I broke my Kamry), and want a dual coil RDA, after which I will not really need hardware for a very long time, so the savings will catch up very soon!

Next up: DIY liquid... then the savings really kick in!!!

Im so far off but on feburary 18th (got an app for that :) ) I will be even.

For a mech mod I just bought one from vaperoyalty.com
It is an HCigar Nemesis clone, very high quality and I am quite suprised by it.
As for an RDA that allows dual coil, igo-w 's are cost effective.
I use a patriot RDA and love every second of it.
Be prepared to drill out air holes though.

I placed my order on sunday and got it in the mail on wednesday. 2 days shipping.
Link to one I bought: Their own special nemesis mod was OoS, HCigar Brass and Stainless Steel Two Tone Nemesis Clone

I never got into vaping to save money. I vape to save my life and the $$ I've spent is for stuff I like. I'm in for probably around $1500 :)

I was at first, to save money and save my life.
But then I got into this as a hobby and to take up some free time. There is a lot worse stuff I can be doing.
Now when ever I see something new and cheap (drip tips, tanks, etc.) I feel the need to buy it to try it out.
Vaping all comes down to personal preference so I am looking for the perfect vape I will never get.

Same here. I have a spreadsheet that tracks my expenses, tracks $ saved from quitting cigs, and tells me how much I'm ahead or in the hole.

I'm behind a little but it will even out over the long run, and if it doesn't, who cares. Switched to save my life not money. I feel better than I have in years, and as someone else said there are worse thing you can spend money on. Life is short.

Let's see...

4 Mini Protank II's = $45 (total)

Three ego starter blister packs = $45 (total)

2 MVP 2's = $82

2 iTaste VV v3 = $50

4 IBTanked tanks with accessories = $125

One iClear 30b = $20 (over paid on this for sure)

2 iClear 16 = $12 total

1 iClear 16b = $7.60

So almost $600 with various odds and ends added including juice, but in my defense I'm buying for 3 people. So, 3 ppl smoking a pack and a half a day for almost 3 months at $14 per pack. 3x14x1.5x80 days is $5040 saved. I am way, way, way in the green. Oh and let's add odd coil purchases at another $20 so $620. Together, we three saved close to $4000. Wow.... I've never quite written it all out before. Even if I elminate my mother in law's smokes from the equation hubby an I saved over $2000 quitting cigs.
