I go through about 5-7ml of liquid a day. 50/50 vg/pg at 3mg nic. I have done some testing at various wattage with a single coil and this is what happened for me
-At 30W after 2 days the coil is done and needs to be replaced
-At 25W after 3 to 4 days the coil is done and needs to be replaced
-At 22W after 4 to 5 days the coil is done and needs to be replaced - The wattage i'm at now
-At 20W after 6 to 7 days the coil is done and need to be replaced
I would say the average Atlantis user goes through 5-7ml of eliquid on a daily basis. If you go through less, the coil life will be extended.
I know there has been some grumblings online about possible safety issues with these coils . You know when you use the crap out of these coils or any other ones (w/ organic cotton etc) it's not going to be good for you. Some people opened the coils up to show the aftermath of it being used raising concerns about the material used. But it was used longer than it should of been (like 2 weeks), so of course i'ts going to look like a total disaster.
With a new coil at 30W on two different occasions on the 2nd day (night time) i got a burnt hit 1st. Then the flavor and taste were never the same. I stopped vaping it , opened it up and you can tell the coil was done. But unlike some ppl who vaped it at 30 W for 2 weeks, the materials are just discolored , still in tact and wet, not destroyed, burnt through.
Bottom line is, replacing these coils on a timely basis is important for performance and safety reasons.
Unfortunately the replacement packs for these coils are not cheap (for people like me who is not into rebuilding coils). I'm reading that the Atlantis replacement coils sold at fasttech are very good and much cheaper than the authentic versions (10 dollars for a pack of 10). They also came out almost at the same time the authentic replacement coils went on sale, so they could be the originals just without the logo. I'm going to test these out , open one up etc. and see how it compares. Rebuilding is another option but for a person like me that is not good at it, hopefully these non authentic ones are just as good or worse case i will just have to buy the authentic ones in bulk and lower the wattage to 20W.
