Opening Post makes no sense. It is half full of NO information.

Have not met a device I couldn't make right yet. I'm sure it will eventually happen, but Authentic or clone, if it can be worked on it can be fixed.

my bad.. could be more specific on my part..
had a Rose V2 clone.. didn't work.. 510 contact pin too recessed, no screw slot and I cannot unscrew it out..
a Origen Genesis v2 clone.. worked for half a day.. had some spare time, disassemble it and wash/clean it, but still no contact..no reading on the ohm meter nor the P3.. sand the center post, tried different coils, added an o-ring to extend the 510 contact pin as it look a litter short, all didn't work.. anything else I can try?

I've never seen a Rose clone that did not have an adjustable positive pin. However, using a mod that does always solves that problem. I no longer buy mods that don't. Or add a circuit board spacer, available at Mad Vapes. Same for your Origin.

the Rose positive pin is flat without any slot for screw.. not sure if I can adjust from the other side.., has not the time to take a closer look yet.
well the Origen is rather straight forward. a positive screw extends to the top, and body as the contact. so one end of coil to center pin, the other to secure at screw/body. but no ohm reading at meter or P3.. so the way I understand it, there is break of contact somewhere, which is where I am lost..

The Mad Vapes website may be down at the moment so I can't post a link.

Try later. Go to madvapes.com and search for circuit board spacer. They are cheap and work for mods and attys that don't have adjustable pins. You just put it in the 510 opening of the mod. Its like a little washer that fills the gap to give you an electrical connection.

Okay here we go. One problem/solution at a time.
First thing you need is a Multimeter - Not an ohm meter or your P3 - Neither are qualified for troubleshooting.

Rose - Here is a Video with some technical information. Pay attention to the lower assembly/positive pin/contact setup.
I'm sure it can be shimmed.

Next is the Origen. No doubt this is a contact gap between the P3 and the Atomizer. You might want to see if the P3 has any type of adjustment as it seems to be to low. Eventually you will be running into originals that will not fire.
Multimeter will confirm current path open or proper on the Origen. You need to read the 510 pin bottom and Positive post for continuity.

I've had surprisingly good luck with clone atties.

The TOBH clone I got was junk. I got a couple of helios clones from fasttech that were junk too.

Biggest problem I see is the center post not staying put, then twisting when tightening screws, or popping up when I screw the atty down, losing the positive connection. Seems if the center post stays put then I have no issues.

I agree, the Rose can be shimmed. That will be necessary if the screw that holds the positive post isn't making contact with the metal disk inside the base.

OP, first thing you should do with the Rose is to tighten the base. You use your stand and the metal rod in the parts kit. On the side of the stand is a round cutout with 2 tiny metal prongs. The bottom of the atty fits into that. Get the atty on there and hold it with one hand. With your other hand, insert that straight rod into the hole on the side of the base and use it as a lever, turning to the right to tighten the base. Then check it to see if you now have a connection.

If you still don't have a connection, remove the base turning left (opposite of how you tighten it. Inside you will see a metal screw going into the insulator. Make sure the screw is tight. If its loose, that might be the problem. If its tight, try putting some type of washer between it and the insulator to extend that screw a little. You may need a plastic washer to cut one side to fit against the insulator. Your goal is just to extend that screw head a bit so it makes contact with the metal disk in the bottom of the base.

However, that circuit board spacer is always helpful, too, for attys with short pins and mods that aren't adjustable.
