atomizer first time use

i have doing research im getting my first e cig that uses atomizers. I understand the use and maintaince but when i first un package it and put it on my vaporizer am i supposed to do any thing i heard different things

In the past because of nasty primer tastes (primer being what is put on the atomizer to keep it from drying out) one would almost always at least blow out a new atomizer getting the primer fluid out onto a paper towel, etc. Now the primer fluid isn't as bad and the less you do with an atomizer the better, so try it first and see how it tastes.
