Atomizer Won't wick?

Something is wrong with my atties. All of them, I have no clue.

I was using PTB carts for about a week on these, and everything was super. But then I noticed the throat hit and flavour start to drop off with every juice. So I started using the standard carts that came with it. With these, I can get lots of vapor but it tastes like fog and farts. I've since started dripping, but I can only get a couple good drags before I get flat vapor for a couple more and then nothing.

they sound flooded to me.
blow thru batt end, tailpipe (vape without cart), blow out again, tailpipe..... until you notice some better vapor/throat hit

I tried that and I'm getting barely anything out of it. It lights up red hot though...

Dip the head of the atty into a cup of water.. Don't drop the entire thing in. Only yo a point where u know the water meets the coil.. get a tweezer so u won't get burn.. Anyways dip it and hold on to it i say about 10 min to so.. blow out, let it dry for a hour or so...Then dry burn it till u see the coil turn gray... then one last dip in hot water and u should see some black stuff coming out..

Ok, I got my Dragon M401 the other day and it wasn't producing much vapor, but now... WHEW! It's becoming a monster! I'm concerned about the atty though.... After two average, soft-ish drags, the atty gets VERY hot; enough for me to put it down and step back, while thinking, "Oh dear..." Is there a reason as to why it's getting so hot?

I just got an m401 from heaven gifts today, and my atty does get hot after the 2rd or 4th drag. Its not super hot, just pretty warm.

if it's getting too hot, you're taking too hard/long of a drag or you're hotboxing it, like drawing 4 or 5 in a row - an atomizer can't wick that fast - don't do it and your atomizers will last much longer
