Not sure on the batteries, unless they changed the electronics.

Have you tried a different charger? Are they charging?

What kind of bad taste?
Is it just the factory primer still? If so, puff on it for awhile and it should go away.
If not, it could be one of the mystery ones that just can't get rid of the taste.

If the taste doesn't go away, I'd contact your supplier and see about exchanging them.

I don't want to name suppliers but I bought a similar quantity from a supplier. Are they by any chance available in stainless steel? If they are the same as mine, the batteries do not appear to be compatible with existing chargers, they only work with the charger that comes with that models starter kit. The atomisers primer fluid is diabolical but does seem to wear off, however some atomisers will not work with carts at all.

Does this supplier also do a pen style usb cable?

the batteries do not blink when I put them on to the charger.
the charger light stays green
no red to indicate charge is in progress.

my other batteries, both 801 and 901
all flash when put onto the same charger
and the light goes red to show charge in progress,
then turns green when charge is achieved.

I will try to get my money back,
or maybe exchange for other product
juice probably.

I thank you for the answers here,
the answer on the batteries seems logical to me.

I do not want to name the supplier just yet,
waiting to see if they will rectify the problems for me.

they have suggested to try dripping the atomizer to smoke thru the bad taste, so am trying that.

no answer yet on the batteries, I will let them know what you said about incompatability with other chargers than their own.

I hope they will either refund or replace with equivalent cash value juice.

we shall see what happens.....

Bad taste is sometimes related to either the atomizer being too dry (perhaps not sufficiently primed ?) or indeed the primer fluid that some find hard on the tastebuds.

Hopefully the suggested dripping method should help with either of those scenario's and if the battery problem is indeed related to them not being compatible with other chargers, couldn't the supplier really have mentioned this potential issue if you didn't purchase a charger at the same time ? Perhaps they can send you a charger to make up for this misadventure ?

Good luck with it, I hope it works out okay !

Cheers,
Silver

I sent this to the supplier, ==

the batteries do not appear to be compatible with many existing 801 chargers,
they only work with the charger that comes with that models starter kit from you.

I have no other charger for these batteries

you should tell people that they must buy a charger from you for these batteries BEFORE they buy batteries from you.

could you send me a charger for these batteries please.

the supplier says they will send me a free charger for their batteries WHEN I place my next order.

any one got a charger for 801 penstyle from bestecig,
want to buy atomizers and batteries
5 each - black - cheeep.

Wow, that's a real bummer Di, sorry to hear that !

I've heard others who have had similar experiences with warranty issues (not sure if with the same seller though). I hardly think it's fair as you have a problem and want to be assured your problem will be solved before you fork out more dough for stuff that you're not sure about  !

Perhaps you could order a box of carts ? Oh no, scrap that, forgot about the shipping costs so that won't work either ! At the very least they could have offered you free shipping on that next order, eh ?

It seems strange though, if it's an 801 it should be compatible with other 801 chargers, what's that all about ??!

Sorry I can't be of more help to you :( ...

Cheers,
Silver

they say theirs is ok -
everyone else has their positive and negative reversed !!!!

There have many manufacturer product the pen style cigarette, and their chargers maybe have some difficult, special positive and responsible, our battery can be use all most charger, but maybe have some manufacturers chargers can not charger our battery, I suggest use another charger, or you can use our charger.

as you say,
they should rectify the mistake,
and warn people to buy their charger for their batteries

I do believe they are wrong, not everyone else.
there have been several members have pm me with the same problem, and same response from this supplier.

I think I will just learn a lesson,
and only order from my trusted supplier ever again

Who is this supplier with the reversed polarity product? Let us know so we can avoid the same problem you have.

Hi Di....

Sorry to hear that you got some problems. I am trying to do sth to help:

Is there any possibility that ask bestecig to send the charger to my place by express ? it will only cost $2-3 and 2days to arrive my place. I can send it to you.:p. If it is ok for them, please give me their phone number , I may help to give a call to them.

Let me know, thanks:thumb:

the supplier was bestecig

but thanks to David Yang,
he rang them,
all is sorted now,

just be aware that some batteries are different,
make sure you have the right chargers
when you order stuff from different suppliers.

Di .....

You are welcome, I am always ready to do something of help. :p

PS: one more thing to be aware about the charger to all users here:

Some chargers are 4.7V, most are 4.2V. they are not compatible.

I am glad to see this thread. To share a story: I bought a penstyle set from bestecig and have been happy with it. I was thinking of buying another whole set just to have all the parts on hand when a poster here had a pen for sale which I was able to buy for a little less than what I would have paid there, so I bought it.

I was nervous at first because although it was a penstyle, it wasn't exactly like mine; the battery and cartridge were both wider than mine. Luckily for me, though, all the parts ended up being interchangeable.

Then I went to plug in the new pen's battery and the charger that came with it....the light continually stayed green even when I plugged the battery in....and I did take it off and put it back on several times with the same result...and replugged in the charger a couple of times. When I left it on for a while, the charger got hot, so I unplugged it and left it.

I then tried that battery in my charger from bestecig and it started out red just like my original batteries do. After reading this, I unplugged it. Looking at the chargers, mine says 6-24V; the one that stays green says 12-24V.

I honestly don't know what all this means. Is that new charger bad? Can I charge those new batteries on my bestecig charger even though they didn't come with it and are a bit different? They do screw in and fit but I really don't want to damage any batteries as I have had good luck with them so far. Anyone know about this?

Lu
