So its basically no difference in flavor and vapor quality, just with the added convenience of a tank?

The only reason I could see for using a dripping atomizer is the ability to change flavors, as a way of sampling different e-liquids. Is that true?

Even at that, don't you have to soak the atomizer in alcohol to clear out the previous flavor?

How about the Filipino MAGNO that, as I understand, is interchangeable between tank and dripper configurations?

It all depends on the set up and personal preference. I love my drippers. They produce so much vapor and the small chambers make the flavor stick out. You dont need to soak them in alcohol unless the last flavor you used is a "atty hugger" (Flavor that's hard to clear out) I normally just give it a dry burn to clear out a old flavor. Also I use silica so it can handle a dry burn without destroying itself.

what he said,
its just as much the way the device is built as it is using the same wicks. you can have two drippers and have the taste come out different from the way the build affects the vapor

once you find a geni and dripper that are comparable taste wise you can tune the wick/build of the device and have them come out tasting almost identical. after that its convienence the phoenix for pure flavor while watching tv then grab the geni for that long car ride.
the preference will depend entirely on the quality of vapor from the device.

get a poorly setup and designed genesis and a well thought out dripper and you'll think I dont know why people like those geni things, same goes with a crappy dripper VS a killer geni

i have many many drippers and its weird how each one has its own nuances and differences. i went through several genesis and drippers to find what i like now. they all work the same. but they dont all produce the same vapor and taste qualities, some are dry and warm while others seem very saturated and have a "wet" vapor while others seem cooler and and have almost too much flavor.

there is much misconception with this - "its a genesis" or "its a dripper" doesnt mean they all taste identical

What they said. Drippers and Genesis style tanks each are a different experience, then from dripper to dripper very depending on how you set them up, size, wick in relation to the air hole, all sorts of different things. Try them both, when I started vaping the things I were least interested in were mechanical mods and rebuildables, now its were I use 90% of the time. Never know what you are going to like until you try them out. Enjoy.

the igo L for dripper is a good simple to setup little fog monster. try it un-modded first and if need be bore out the air hole just a bit till the draw is good for you. for genne the rsst is a good starter. its forgiving in that its pretty easy to setup and the insulated wick hole and plastic full tank will help in reducing hotspots on the coil/wick. there is a hybrid dripper/tank system called the vision eternity that you can buy wick and coil assemblies for that is no tool required and looks snazzy on an ego bat. all 3 are under $30 so they wont kill your vape budget too much if you dont like them.

I setup my Genesis as dripping with tank by setting it up with dual .8 ribbon wire with cotton wick. Tilt to refill my wick. Works great but it does get extremely hot since it's measuring at .4 ohms. Full flavor, great for driving. Mostly, I use my dripper at home. I can change flavors very easily. I also use dripping as juice mix test.

The igo l or igo w would be a great place to start rebuilding coils. They are cheap and easier to rebuild than a genesis. Not to mention they hit very well once you rebuild them.

Ss mesh is a long and tedious process that can be very difficult once you first start. It definitely is nowhere to start.

what he said. and remember this name, "reo grand." for when u decide u like dripping the best but find a lot of times u cant drip and drive! then u want the convenience of a bottom fed dripper and u no longer have to carry a bottle with u and pull ur drip tip off to drip. just squeeze the bottle in the mod and juice flows up a tube into the atty and ur ready to vape on!
