attach led

I made a couple of mods using a "pen/fan" Can someone tell me simply how to attach the led circuit board to work when I push the button-I know there is prob a thread somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

When I've used LED's in my mods, I don't use a circuit board. Just a 100 ohm resistor (for 3.7v, 300 ohm for 5v) and an LED assembly. Attached the resistor to the out side of your switch, attach resistor to LED (long leg, that's the positive one on the LED) and the negative LED leg to ground.

I was just thinking to use the little round circuit board with the tiny led that is already on the batteries behind the plastic, but it would prob be a pain to do it anyways.
Heres a picture, they are not fancy or anything (maybe I will add some fingernail stickers or something), but at least these batteries last a bit longer.

I bought them at Big Lots for $4.00, they didn't have colors there-but heres what they look like originally (i think they are the same thing)

Hi here is a quick down and dirty drawing I made from a 901 LED round circuit board.

On the back are 3 connectors, one is positive the other two are negative. Solder one hot wire after the switch to the + side and the - side wire to the case or spring for. When you push the button it will enegize the LED. I have used these for USB mods and it is really easy. I used an old phone cord copper red and black wire for connecting this.

on my 901 led circuit boards its just a + and - connection , just wire the + up to the switched power( power after the switch) and the - to a ground connection.

I then just hotglued the led onto the rear of the switch..drilled a hole in the case and voila

Hope this help in figuring out where the leads go.
Only one of the LED wires needs to be used depending on the color you want to illuminate.

Thanks for keeping me straight. The 901's in this area is the main PV sold around here. I just took it for granted this was a straight 901 set up. My mistake, I didnt know I had a deluxe model on my hands Cool.
