Attention manufacturers!! AFC rings are the wrong way to reduce airflow.

The TFV4 mini comes with a insert exactly as I am describing.

My knowledge of the current clearos is very bad :). Are you looking at an rba deck for it? I seem to have it in my head these are for up to 140W, which doesn't seem very Boden like :D Of course they are probably fun at least once in awhile.

Sorry I'm a bit cranky today I'm grading papers.

I am only talking about RTA's. So yes, with the RBA deck installed.

The Taifun also has a insert for the air port.

I get Boden's argument. Never took Applied Physics but I think there are some other issues involved, in that the flow through the coil opening isn't usually a non-turbulent, laminar flow. Like many things engineered, seems to me that airflow rings are a compromise of simplicity of function over absolute effectiveness of function.
I agree there's no way your going to have laminar flow downstream of an orifice in a short length RBA. Still the points made regarding higher velocity immediately after the opening are valid either way. Whether that actually results in better performance would require proof by vaping :D
