OK, this probably isn't thread worthy and I probably could have just asked Rave, since she's got the blingie-est Volts out there, BUT...

What the heck do you use to pry off the ash cap to remove it WITHOUT shooting it across the room, thereby losing it forever??? Those little holes are wayyyyyy too small for anything I've tried. There MUST be an easier way!

Much thanks! :)

you can try a plastic knife from a take out place maybe
Thank you Imagine! I should have mentioned, though, I've seen that vid (and probably every other one too!) and the knife thing scares my widdle brain. I know - I'm a sissy. I was hoping for something a little more tame that I might not take my finger off with (I'm a bit accident prone).

I use my fingernail or a butter knife. lol I have only lost 1 so far. But I have also broken a diamond cap before too. Put it on one and decided I wanted it on another and broke it trying to get it off. I was a bit unhappy.

Stacey, did it crack or just come apart in two pieces. I had that happen, the "diamond" came loose from the part that goes into the battery. I glued it back together with super glue.

Because you are a patient person, apparently. When I remove the LED cap...it goes flying across the room from me popping it off like a mad woman.

I use a flatheaded screw driver which just fits in there, i also have smaller ones.
Don't just pry it off with one move, lift one side first and then the other and simply remove with your fingers.
