In general, they will give more and warmer (hotter) vapor with less power required.
Be careful not to use higher than 3.7 power on it, don't run it dry and you'll be ok.
The thing is to get one or more to see if you like that vape... many do.
The principle of LR is to simulate a vape from a higher voltage pv.

and oh they are said not to last as long.

Absolutely correct . If you like a little warmer , and heavier vapor , then a LR atty will be perfect , for you . When I used an Ego tank , I only used LR atty's , after using one , for the first time . The standard atty , never got used again . And , your right , they are cheaper , than the stock SR ???? Go figure .

not necessarily better; but that's because there are other factors involved.
VG will give you more vapor so yes it would be easier in that sense... but that applies across all voltage and resistance (LR SR HR)... more vapor production.
Some are allergic to VG some to PG...
PG is said to give more flavor... is thinner
VG is thicker and will burn quicker than PG... so in that sense VG and LR are questionable since it may burn faster since LR is hotter....
I would suggest some small samples of different ratio juice : high vg up to 100% and some with a mix like 50/50 (never 100% PG)
Thanks for the replies. I read somewhere (either on here or in a supplier's review) that the low resistance worked better with all VG juice. Is that a fact or just an opinion????

I use regular and low resistance atomizers (type b) and lowered the wicks 50% to prevent burned taste when using 100% VG. Really can't tell the taste difference between the two. Never had any type b burn out and daily I dry burn them after blowing them out. When I switch to a thinner liquid like 50%PG I use a different color type b atty with the wick set slightly higher.

oops... sorry; i was speaking of attys... not ego tank atty types so i was generalizing... sorry if i misled.. but take that as a general rule.

They give hotter vape with MORE power required as in they use up battery charge faster. They are lower ohms. Lower ohms use power faster.

I think there are some LR Ego tank attys now

Normal Ego or 510 attys, LR or not, are not for tanks. They are for cartridges or drip tip (drip tip only recommended on manual batteries and you have manual batteries). Ego attys usually need some EGo size of carts and drip tips. 510 size needs 510 carts or drip tips.

Re carts - most people prefer cartomizers (prefer them to carts or tanks) and Boge are most popular.

    in a cave, eh?
You don't get much flavor with the regular tank atomizers. So, the low-resistance tank atomizers are a big improvement in the flavor department. But, they will discharge your battery quicker and they won't last as long as your regular tank atomizers.

If you go with cartomizers, which are popular, you might consider getting an eGo cone to slide over them. It's optional, but it looks nicer and helps protect the battery connection.

According to my experience it's a matter of luck more than anything else. I have stopped performing anything but the most basic maintenance on my atomizers (meaning I just blow them out once or twice a week). I have LR atomizers which have lasted me a month of solid almost non stop use, and normal atomizers dying within a week. There was one LR atomizer I liked a lot because it produced amazing flavour and vapour, it died after 4 days. I would guess the manufacturing process is not quite consistent, so it might be a good idea to have a variety of atomizers from different manufacturers.
