I understand that if using a atty dripper, the idea is to drip a few drops of juice. place a drip tip and vape away. If too much juice, flooding happens.

I trying to understand a few things here although it may come out a bit stupid:-

1. For a dripper - the juice is around the atty. By putting more juice, how does it actually gets flooded when I can just vape and heats up the atty ?
2. for carto-tank / clearomizer - i understand that there is a air hole. if this air hole gets juice, its flooded. But what is the science behind this that makes it not performed ?

With dripping, there is a hole as well- several, depending on the atomizer.

On both counts, by my thinking, the atomizer is trying to conduct heat/electricity through too much juice. In either a tank or an atty with the proper amount of juice in it, it's just a tiny amount that's actually hitting the atomizer to be vaporized.

I see.

Would I be right to say that in the event of flooding, one way would be to increase the volt and unclog it ?

+1 on getting rid of the extra juice by flinging it out or whatnot. You may be able to burn it out by increasing the voltage, but why would you want to? It just puts a heavier load on your atty/battery, and will gunk it up after from excess juice. Seems like a bad idea to me.

After a while you get the hang of it and will rarely flood the atty. I still flood one once in a while when I get distracted and forget that I just added liquid. But when I first started I used to over drip all the time! I had paper towels full of liquid all over the place. If you continue to use the same type of atty it will get to be second nature.
