Yesterday I boiled all my attys in distilled water twice in a row. Let them dry overnight ... Which was usually enough time the 3-4 times ive done this before.

-Tried my low-res 510/w drip tip and was just horrible. Still like it was soaking wet, and didnt preform at all.
-Then tried my ego t atty ... Horrible, bubbly hot tasting nasty mixed with juice flavor ... So sad as it is my favorite atty.
-Tried my clearo atty which is my least fave ... It is doing a little better then others but still have the hot steam bubbly water boiling taste sticking to my taste buds.

***Could I take my ego t atty and let it dry again, after wetting the wick with juice? Or should I boil them all again? Also, this water is doing much different then the last jug of distilled I had. Last stuff, even if the atty was still wet I got NO mineral pops etc .. This time its horrible.

And ugh ... Moral of the story is: buy extras of your favorite atty right away  Im sitting here, upset as now my favorite Ego T atty was still wet .. Before I tried it again. Errrr ...

Have an additional ego t type b, and ego c atty on order now. Wont be here until atleast wednesday :-( So sad. If the ego c lasts as long as my ego t ill be very happy!

Water is terrible for cleaning atomizers.
And it takes forever to evaporate.
Then you find out it wasn't worth the effort.

The only thing I've ever used is 92% isopropyl alcohol.
It dissolves anything.
It evaporates fast.
After years of using it to clean atomizers, I've never had any problems at all.

It might even do something for atomizers that have been screwed up with boiling water.

Yeah, occasionally with some atomizers cleaned with isopropyl I've noticed a slightly metallic "off taste" until the new juice has a chance to fully re-saturate the wick and mesh of the atomizer. Its because the atomizer is just sooo damn squeaky clean. Doesn't take long to vape through it though. I imagine that the best alcohol to use would be Everclear, just makes sense, but I've never seen it anywhere and it may be illegal in most states.

I feel compelled to ask, have any of you read the burning carto threads that show when a carto with wicking material quits performing like it should, it is usually because the diaper around the coil is BURNED and NO AMOUNT of cleaning will fix it. For the price of carto's I throw them and use a new one. In my opinion if you just want to change to a different flavor then cleaning works very well, but if it is not working like it should with a good amount of vapor and its not flooded and you have a good battery, then it is shot. Take one apart and look at the burned hole in the Diaper, that means it will never wick to the coil again like it should. I have learned this for over a year trying to clean carto's with filler material inside and reading the burning carto thread and have learned when to thow them out and reach for a new one. I hope this may help some of you. Just my opinion. Happy vaping.
