I quit using attys a long time ago because dripping was such a hassle and the atty’s always popped. I was realitively happy with boge tank mods. Then I purchased a surge tank. My Surge Tank vapes like a beast. After using it for a couple of weeks, carto tanks just don’t kick for me anymore. My only problem now is atomizers. I squeeze my surge like hell and always keep my atty’s really wet, but I still kill them every day or maybe two,. Can’t anyone make a longer lasting atomizer? I have heard good things about io6 but they are never in stock. I have tried the Cisco 306, they definitely vape stronger and maybe last 2 days but not really worth the $ for such minimal improvement vs Joye 510 . I love my serge tank. I have ordered some Cisco’s and a big order of cheap Greenhouse one 306 atty’s. If the Greenhouse atty’s last even a day, this may be the way to go. I will keep the Cisco’s like good wine for a special occasion.

Tonight I am back to vaping my Arry v3 and Arry v4 tank with a Boge cartos. With my Provari at 4.5 it makes me want to go to analogs (compared to the surge tank the Boge vape is pitiful). On the plus side you can vape the tank all night with no fiddling. If someone could only come up with atomizer that would last!!!! The surge keeps the atty wet all the time. People especially (vendors) always blame atty failure on users not keeping them wet. Of course this is a factor, but I don’t buy it. I am afraid of the super premium atomizers because if they were so good, you would think a 20 dollar atty would be guaranteed to last at least a week? The serge keeps atty’s consistently wet, the Provari maintains consistent voltage. The real truth is Atomizers have not been perfected. I have seen the rebuildable’s but it looks like such a hassle??? (When I want to vape I don’t want to play around with wrapping coils etc) Does anyone else have thoughts / suggestions on this? Are their better quality atty's I am not aware of?

Look into the AVA atomizers. The coil is encased in a porous ceramic that also replaces the wick. I just got mine this past weekend so I can't say how long it might last but they should be a lot more durable than traditional atomizers. I vape unflavored and it gives the cleanest vape of anything I've ever used. Vapor production is up a lot from day 1. I've read break-in can take up to a week.

There's an open connector version available now but I'm not sure who carries it. I've only seen it at Thermovape.

I have read the the user reviews of the AVA and the are mixed at best. I am very suspicious of a $50 atomizer that is "great" but the manufacturer offers no warranty. For $50 he has to make it last a week?

From what I've seen the manufacturer does stand behind the product. If your HH.357 popped in a couple hours under normal and appropriate use you're out of luck (I've had it happen with Ciscos at least). I've seen people claim the ceramic of their AVA cracked apart after a wash and about a month of use. Their AVA was replaced.

YMMV. It's only $50 if you buy from a site that uses coupon codes + price inflation. It's $40 with a nice drip tip from ThermoVape.

I've been using Smartvapes 1.8ohm 306 and 510 Dripping Atomizers for over a week and I love them. They are $6.00 and I get plenty of thick vapor, solid throat hit, really good flavor, warm vapor on the 510 and hot vapor on the 306. Also, there's an intensity to the vapor, you feel it in your lungs. I've been using the same 2 attys for over a week and they are going strong, no issues.

I like them better than Joye LR, Cisco LR, and Ikenvape LR. However, I haven't tried the io6 or HH357 yet.

i saw a vid where someone said the AVA has a 6 month warranty... it must be an old video if you know what i mean; because i don't see that anywhere.

the GG rebuilable UFS is an atty tank i think.... $$$

Rethink dripping: it gives better flavor, and if you are happy with good conventional brands, you can get 10 paks from VaporKings for under $5 a piece... under $4 for dse 901's.

I am liking my AVA because of the flavor. My HH357 for same reason.
regarding attys being the weak link, I think they are the most important link... after all, the highest priced APV's are merely providers of voltage/watts; nothing more. It's the atomizer that gives you the vapor and taste. Nothing tastes as good as an HH357 or the AVA. i'd sell my Provari for 6 or 7 HH357's (my extra Vari that is) :)

Any warranty beyond DOA is pretty excellent for an atomizer IMO. I've seen people say anything from a month to a year warranty on the AVA but to be honest I haven't seen anything solid about that. The manufacturer has definitely displayed an interest in standing behind their product, so I'm comfortable assuming that if there is a manufacturing related defect I'll be treated fairly.

I think the Odysseus in 510/carto mode (not sure the parts have even been for sale TBH) should work like a UFS for less money. Either way it's a significant investment...

I agree, not to meniton significant DIY tinkering; even with the carto/atomizer tank, i'm intimidated either way $ and DIY.
That's why if i have the money, I'm paying for the HH357's and the AVA... i consider it against the cost of quality analogs.

Something_isn't_right_if_you_are_popping_atties_every_other_day...

Attys don't last long but to be burning them every other day is by no means normal either.

What are the dynamics of your usage?

I've not heard of someone with such bad luck with atties. How many times have you been struck by lightning while vaping? :p

I've had a dozen (minimum) atomizers that lasted a solid 2-4 weeks, and a few more that lasted months. I have also had 2 that have popped prematurely (which I began thinking of as less than 2 weeks).

When/how do they die (severely degraded performance, pop and then cold)? If they are cold, do you get a resistance reading when checking them? Is the center post getting pushed up on you perhaps?

Sorry if these are all things you've checked and know you have right - just trying to solve what appears a mystery to me.

they are all unpredictable and unreliable, i have tried many from the super premimum down to green smokes (truly bad). In terms of longevity, it is always hit or miss. I think the long tem answer is re- buildables. In my view, they are still not quite as good as good a 510/306 but they are pretty close and a mistake results in loss of penneys not dollars. one of my worst experiences was a $50 ceramic atomizer. i have tried cisco and ikenvape but not there most expensive products. People who like the cisco super premium report they last, but they also report regular maintence which is not something i want to do, when for the same $ i can throw away. For now i am using the valuevapor dripping atomizer. I recently bought 10, if past practice holds true 2 or 3 will be dead or die a quickly , still as far as value for $ is concerned, the other 7 should rock for a long time and for me they vape as well or better than most others at $5 each. I like to use bottom feeders and am waiting for a good bottom feeding atomizer at a price below $100
