... no vapor production ?
Kind of strange : two of my EVO attys are warming up getting red and no vapor production.. How could that be ? Any thought ?

Its funny I got my EVO in yesterday and I had this same exact problem after cleaning mine at the end of the day...I thought they were flooded but after sticking them in the oven for 15 minutes @ 170 degrees and then blowing through them on the battery end, they were dry! Yet none of them produced vapor.

This is the response customer service gave me for the issue:

4 drops of ecopure for a direct drip is about twice as much as you need. However, flooding an EVO is also harder than flooding a 510 because the 510 atomizer is incased in a tube while the escess from the EVO can drip off the side.

Seems to me like the atomizer is clogged, try this: get some alcohol (100 proof vodka or higher that is completely flavorless or get some isopropyl alcohol) and place the atomizer standing up on a napkin, drip ~10 drops onto the mesh and replace the cart, blow through the cart end into the napkin and see if anything is dislodged, do this twice and try vaping again with 2 drops of ECOpure on the atomizer. Blowing through the battery end sometimes clogs the atty and is not recommended.

Are you using carts? If so, maybe your cart filler is pushed up too much and not contacting the atty bridge.

Try a couple of drops directly on your atty bridge, turn it on and see if there is any vapor production.

I am using carts, topped off a brand new prefilled cart and let the atty soak up from the cart, pulled the cart and added a drop to top off. Popped cart on and tried to draw nothing. I then took a blank cart, dripped 3 drops of ECOpure onto the atty and still nothing. I have managed to get one atty going, although it seems weak. I believe that maybe it was my fault on the attys not working well. I baked em in the oven @ 170 for 15 minutes and pulled em out. They were dry, dripped on em (still kinda warm from oven) connected battery and tried to vape, no response.

Clay over an innovapor already requested I send em back and he take a look at em, in the mean time he was gonna send me two extras.

i'm also having a problem with my new yeti 510 (had it for about 5 days)
i can hardly get any vapor out of this thing! i've tried everything.
direct dripping- 2 drops gets me about 3-4 decent hits, then i can't get squat out of it.
fresh new filled cart- nothing, but if i suck really hard i can get a decent puff, this can't be normal from what i've read.
all my carts are melting from the insane heat, and none of the mods i've tried are helping.

Here's my .02, please take with a grain of salt:)

One problem could be clogged atty:
It could be the mesh beneath and around the heating element is clogged. Not enough air can pass through enough damp mesh to get any real volume of eliquid particles airborne in proximity of the heating element. (rinse thouroughly with alcohol-The alcohol can cause dried ejuice to liquify, so it can be drained out.-, roll up a dry paper towel and shove it up around the bridge. Leave battery side up overnight. If paper towel is saturated after several hours, apply a fresh paper towel and leave sitting battery side up again. repeat until no sign of moisture shows on paper towels after sitting battery side up for hours.)

When changing paper towels, suck on the atty to see if there is good airflow. If there is no apparent moisture but bad airflow then the mesh between the air intake and the heating element is still clogged, rinse some more with alcohol or maybe peroxide. Peroxide makes bubbles that can lift debris. I rinse with that and then the hottest tap water I can stand. Then start the drying process again. (I've only had to do it a couple times in 5 months so ymmv)

-if this all works, you should have a very dry atty with smooth airflow.

The other problem could be dryness :
The mesh beneath and around the heating element is dry. Sucking air across dry mesh pulls only air across the heating element. (This one is easy once you get the concept. A couple drops down the side, NOT onto the top of the bridge, NOT directly onto the heating element...After each couple of drops, take a tester puff to see if there is good vapor or not. Since you are intentionally missing the bridge and the heating element, the dry mesh beneath and around the heating element will start becoming saturated. At somewhere between 4 and 9 drops (not sure cuz I don't have a 510), the mesh will be sufficiently saturated that good vapor production occurs.)

That's really all I've had to do to keep my penstyles working until their heating coils pop :)
Good luck!

One problem could be clogged atty:
probably not the problem, since it's a new atty
-if this all works, you should have a very dry atty with smooth airflow.
i would have to re-soak the atty with e-juice after this right? from what i've read smoking with a dry atty is a bad idea

The other problem could be dryness :
this could be the problem, i never thought about purposely drowning my atomizer though! i'll give this a try.

thanks a ton for the response =)

I have a different problem but wasn't sure where to post... My new 510 is burning my throat!!! I have dripped 2 drops on the atomizer and topped off the cart. Still burning burning my throat. The first 30+ puffs were amazing..now pure burn. The atomizer can't be dry if I've just dropped 2 drops directly on it, can it? Thanks guys...I love this site.
