Atty & Multimeter

I just bought a new multimeter and tested all of my attys. From what I have read, they should be around 3.5 ohms? I have a few that are 2.1 and 2.3 and then I have one that is 5.8.

Can someone help decipher these numbers for me?

510's run at 2.9-3.1 when new...........901's around 3.5 I believe.

my 801 is reading 3.1 as well

I'd say your 5.8 is on its way out the door and the 2.1...2.3 are probably optimal

The readings will vary. The Chinese don't keep tight tolerances when they pound these things out by the millions. You just don't want to see 0 or 50k, or something out of the ballpark like that.

Happily is right about the 801 readings. Most of my 801s come in between 3.5-3.7 brand new. I would also concur that the 5.8 is a little high, but it will still work fine until you see a reading of 20 or above. Anything above that and I will bet you are working hard for a decent draw. Great that the multimeter is working out for you. It will save you a lot of headaches as an atomizer reaches EOL (end of life).
