So I was using my original atty and decided to try another one while I messed with all the cleaning methods. First thing I noticed was that the new atty was WAY better. Later tonight I tried another so I could give this one a water bath to keep it nice and it was gurgly and stiff.

I gave it a hot water bath and now it's smooth. I'm thinking that a hot water bath to get rid of the shipping primer is a good thing?

I've been vaping for about 3 months now and I found the easiest way to clen them is to put them in a microwaveable cup with 4 oz of distilled water. Make sure they're covered completely. Microwave for a minute or two until the water boils. You'll see little pieces of the stuff at the bottom. Empty the water out and repeat the process until the water is clean. Then let your attys dry on paper towels or blow them out against a paper towel until all the moisture is gone and then prime them with a couple of drops of juice before vaping. This process removes all the yucky burned taste from the attys. I clean mine once or twice a week and I haven't had to replace any of my attys yet.

Happy vaping!!!

^^^I just tried this ^^^ and I think it killed 2 of my 901 attys. The 510 survived, but maybe I'm just not priming correctly. Could someone please explain how to do this?

edit: I figured it out and my attys still work, but what a pain in the a@# You really go through this every week? I just blow mine out daily and haven't had a problem yet.

Ah see? that's basically what I am doing but without the boil. I am running two attys, at the end of the day I take the atty I was using and run hot tap water through it. then I blow through it and leave it to dry. the new atty does not get attached to the cart until the morning (or middle of the night if I get up). this way I never have an atty that sts for a long time with juice in it and the nightly flush prevents the build up.

I also make sure to not let my attys get too hot from heavy vaping.

Yep - I have been taking the same hot water rinse per night approach for months now and it has treated all my 901/801 attys well.

Only one's I've lost have been out of the box failures or due to me being a klutz and dropping them.

I have used vinegar or backing soda soak but I haven't noticed that being any better than just a hot water rinse before bed time.

And I do let them just air dry over night.
