I purchased a drip kit from Volcano and was curious if their opinion was correct or not.

They advised me that when I'm not using my cig, not disconnect atty from battery to eliminate problems and they said no matter what the time frame is...if you smoke every 5 minutes, every 10 minutes, every 30 minutes, etc...you should always unscrew atty from battery and rescrew when ready to use again. This seems kinda overkill...would anyone agree with them on this?

just wanna make sure I take care of my hardware but I find this to be a bit over the top.

IMO, life entails balancing risk with convenience. During the period of time (in terms of hours, not minutes and seconds) that I am vaping an atomizer/battery combination, I leave them attached. When I put that PV to the side (e.g., to vape another, eat a meal, sleep, etc.), I unscrew the atomizer. Also I try to use batteries that don't easily activate accidentally.

Proceed at your own risk ... and convenience.
