Welcome to ECF! Hopefully someone here will be able to help you.

I thought Australia “approved” of vaping as a smoking cessation method. Did they reverse that idea or am I just confused as to country?
It's still a bit of a sore subject. many of us think it has alot to do with how much money the government is missing out on if we all vape. The whole thing is a bit of a sh#t show to be honest.
We are struggling to get 'proper' vape supplies but you can find disposables on every corner.

Hey everyone. New to the DIY scene. Forced to start mixing thanks to the Australian government.

Currently on the hunt for good pod strong iced pod recipes. Preferably with only a few flavours. Flavours are hard to come by ATM so will probably need to substitute.
There are a couple ways to do ice. The cheap and dangerous one is buy pure menthol crystals and dissolve them in high molarity ethanol. Commodity item then, but there’s the whole coughing up blue thing. There are also a couple of “ice” pastes. I don’t know what’s in them. If they’re the same as menthol there’s no good reason to use them.

The irony is with DIY you’ll save potentially a ton of money. If you can get ahold of a rebuildable there’s even more to be saved if you vape for more than a year.

My understanding is they made disposables illegal, but what it seems they really want to do is drive vapers to analogs. They’ve got a “business friendly” right-wing government atm and they apparently like the tobacco companies. Theres a “what we say we want” and what they’re actually doing split. Or so it seems from here.

Follow Aussie here, oz if F'd.

If you need flavours nic etc. you can get it from here.

For other stuff no idea, trying to buy some coil pod replacement. I'm struggling.even to buy this .... from China. It's a Fking joke. You can now vape in Oz at 16yo if you get a script from the doctor but as a mature adult I can't get some Fking supplies.

What a communist country we live in.

Shipping is slow like most Chinese online retail, AliExpress etc. you'll be waiting 2-3 weeks

That place is based in China!! One of the most unreliable places in the world for delivery of juice and concentrates to OZ that you will find :thumb: Facebook is your best bet for both juice and hardware these days and there's quite a few good Aussie groups!

I've ordered twice from there recently no issues. The main problem I have is finding coils. What's the name of the Aussie group on FB?

Thanks mate, hopefully I can find some coils. I've been looking for days I'm over it
That’s a traditional problem. Coils tend to be proprietary and when they’re company stops making them there just aren’t any more. I gave up on coil cartridges hand have only been doing rebuildables for years now. The only issue with rebuildables is they’re not in b&m stores (there was a short period when they were but a lot more money is made off coil cartridges) so you have to order them online.

On the bright side a pod flavor of juice is lately the same as any other flavor. The only difference is the tanks are plastic not glass. There used to be some flavorings that would crack plastic tanks but not glass ones. Now that “tank cracker” flavors like cinnamon are afaik more or less gone (because they had oil issues) they’re all the same. They also generally didn’t crack very deep either. So if you wind up using one likely all that will happen is the pod won’t be as see through. They generally got thrown away before an actual problem developed.

I don't know if it's helpful, but this forum used to be active too with some very good people. Some of them are members here too. Hopefully, between the two, you'll be able to get all the help you need. :)
