Hello there,

I have been using the KR808 for about 2 months now and have recently started experiening an incredibly hard draw on one of my auto batteries. I really have to suck hard just to get the battery to light up. It works perfect except for having to practically burst a blood vessel to get it to light up. I know it's the battery because I have 2 others (another auto and a manual) that I can switch the cart to and vape away with no problems. The battery does NOT look dirty, I try to keep the end grooves clean along with the vent holes unclogged. I have tried both of those already and it's still really hard to light up.

Any other suggestions out there for me? It is an older battery that only has 2 vent holes. It is not one of the newer V4L batteries.

Thanks!

NOTE: I wanted to add that this battery was NOT like this when I purchased it. It used to work perfectly along with my others, it just recently started doing this!

Thanks for the replies.

The battery is pretty clean, including the inner ring. I might try making the holes a bit larger, but I can't see how that would cause a sudden problem when it was working fine when I bought it.

I've seen a few posts about an "inner post" getting stuck and I'm wondering if this is the case. Anyone know what this inner post is?

The inner post is one of the electrical charge conductors, the opposite electrical charge is conducted by the threads.

When the center post of the battery makes contact with the center post of the cartomizer, the atomizer in the carto becomes connected. The reason for the slot across the center of the carto center post is so that air can flow into the carto.

When my auto draw got tough, I soaked my battery end in a capful of rubbing alcohol. Let it sit for about a minute, then scrubbed the battery end with an old toothbrush. Always fixed the draw that way.

That is what I have done also. Works so much better after a good cleaning.

Hmm, still having issues but with different batteries now lol. I did a soaking in alcohol and it seemed to help the original battery for the most part, still a little hard draw here and there. I'm going to try the toothbrush method or a pipecleaner on my other 2 that are having issues now to see if that helps.

I think it just might be a .....ty week in batteries for me.

    Thanks!

Mesa, AZ...off the analogs for years!
You might try gently lifting the center post for a better contact. I had several batt's that were just nutty...worked with some cartos/atty's and not others. This worked like a miracle.

Use a binder clip (remove the black part and just use the clip). Bonus: the clip is also great for popping off the tops of cartos.

    If you have an atty....

I've not gotten a 'hard draw' yet, and the first batteries that I got, worked quite well for the first 2 weeks.

I'm not positive about the cause, but two of them are now 'sticking' after a drag and staying on until they time out. I'm leaning toward an overfilled cart and juice leaking into the battery.

I'm half tempted to soak them in everclear to see if it cleans them out.

One of the two automatic batteries in my UU kit received on Monday has a real hard draw even after fully charged with a new carto. Charged via AC, USB cord thingy and PCC but I still look like I'm gonna pop a vessel. The good one has a much smoother draw. This is day 4 for me and a couple of days ago I thought I just did the primer puff wrong or something, but now I think it's the battery. I'm not too comfortable sticking anything into the battery hole either. 8-o I have not refilled any cartos, just using the pre-filled ones.
