I could swear I've seen a thread about this before but I can't find it. My standard auto battery is becoming difficult to draw on. I got it a couple of weeks ago (it's my first auto) and the draw was about the same as my manuals. Over the last few days the draw has become much harder.

Anyone know how to fix this? Should the three small holes by the battery connection be open on an auto battery? I know they are open on a manual but I'm not sure about the autos.

This could be diagnosed on several different fronts here:

a) Are the air holes lined up between the cart and the battery? You might not get all three holes lined up, but usually two of the three will match, which will then open the air flow a bit allowing for an easier draw.

b) Are the holes in the battery plugged? If so, they need to be pierced with a needle and cleaned out...

c) The battery may be dying. The slow loss of power is not a particular "battery death" that I've experienced yet, but I suppose it's possible.

d) How long are you charging the battery? If it hasn't been left on for al "all nighter," you could try that.

e) Lastly, I suppose you could have an unbelievably bad string of "weak atomizer" luck, but those odds are indeed.... unbelievable.

Process of elimination could work here.

Hope this helps... that's all I could think of for now.

Yep. Holes were clogged. I didn't want to try cleaning them until I knew they were supposed to be open. I wasn't sure if the holes were purposely blocked on autos to direct air through the battery. It vapes like a champ now! I'm now an auto convert. Although I like the manuals, the autos have a much more natural feeling. Just ordered a new shorty last night with my carto order. Can't wait to try that. I have one of the original shorties but gave up on it.

I don't have access to you tube at work but I'll check out the vids when I get home.

Thanks for the help all!
