I have 3 m40x auto batteries. Two of them are acting up on me after some liquid seeped into them, the auto switches don't activate as easily as before. I'm having to draw really hard to get them to power on.

I did try to get the liquid out as soon as I noticed the leakage. I did two things: insert twisted tissue into the center hole to soak it up, and swing the bats at arms length to fling the liquid out with centrifugal force.

Is there anything I can do to restore these things to proper working order?

Thnx

This works for me sometimes. Can't hurt to try.
Suck and then blow on the atty end of your battery to dislodge any gunked up juice.
Hold the batt in your fist and pound on your knee LED end up and then atty end up.
There's a high-tech solution for ya! LOL
I have also heard that dipping the attty end in a few cm of alcohol, shaking it out real well, and then letting it dry obernight might work.
You could also try putting a paper towel in a cup and letting the battery sit atty end down for a week or two. Sometimes they miraculously come back to life.

Good luck,

I actually tried something recently on my 801 that worked really well. I used a can of moisture free air and gently (GENTLY) forced 1/4 pressure air into the small hole on the edge of the LED cover. This activated the battery and blew juice out the threaded end. I imagine that if you blew air full force that it might rupture the bladder, so just pull the trigger a little.
