Auto PT's not for PT Auto

Was all excited when I got a bonus auto-PT in my last order. It was chrome and I immediately thought I would use it in my PT Cruiser of the same(ish) color... But alas, the auto-PT seems to be a cold hearted beast. While it works great attached to my computer or USB wall adapter, it does not seem to be suited for use in the car now that it is getting colder outside. Seems that is will not work if it is cold and requires to be warmed up a bit before it will function at all. Initially I thought it might have just stopped working altogether, but it does work fine in the house. Fortunately I have a manual PT that seems to work just fine regardless of the temperature outside, so all is well. Now just have to see how cold it will have to be before the cartos freeze. Ah - life in Iowa...

PS/ Any other VK'ers/Vapers in Iowa?

You you sure you have the right USB adapter for the car? One of them on the V4L site doesn't work well for the passthrough.

there are two on the site? mine won't work with the PT. I want to get the one that will.

Yeah - I have the newer car-adapter and it has worked fine with the two manual PT's I have. The Auto-PT will work with the adapter as well but only after it is warmed up.

Not any more. The old ones that won't power a PT are gone from the site now. The one that remains will work on the PT.

Walgreens also sells a white 2-port adapter that works.
